The Morning

The next morning was an early one. Victoria had originally thought Fleur would be the first one up, considering it was her wedding day. But after listening to Fleur and her family talk and drink all night, she knew the soon to be Weasley had slept in.

Quietly Victoria went downstairs and put the kettle on the stove and stared on the eggs for everyone. Usually Mrs. Weasley did breakfast, but Victoria knew she was particularly worn out from playing host to the Delacour family.

It was a cool summer morning. Victoria gazed out the window at the perfectly manicured grass and wondered how excited Fleur must be. She was getting to spend forever with the love of her life.

The sun had barley started to creep up, but it made the whole yard look golden.

A deep, husky voice from the doorway broke Victoria away from her trance.

"Morning," said the cool voice.

Victoria turned around to see Harry leaning against the doorway. Shirtless.

A small smirk played at the corner of Harry's lips as he saw Victoria staring at his chest.

"Tea?" Victoria managed to get out, finally.

Harry nodded and took a seat at the table situated directly behind Victoria.

"You're up early," she said after pouring him a cuppa and returning to the stove.

"I figured you would be up with the excitement of today. I knew you would want to get an early start to get it all justttt right."

The way he dragged out the last sentence made Victoria turn and roll her eyes at him.

He just smiled at her, a devilish grin playing on his lips.

For awhile neither of them spoke, just enjoying each other's company.

"I could get used to this," he said in a content tone.

"Used to what?"

"This," Harry said with a gesture around the kitchen. Victoria placed a plate in front of him and sat in the seat beside him.

"You being here when I wake up in the morning. You looking beautiful in your silk robe and bedroom slippers. Your smile being the first thing I see in the morning. Anything and everything with you, that's what I could get used to."

Victoria looked down into her cup of tea. She had felt the blush rising to her cheeks before she could even take her eyes away from Harry's.

Without warning, Harry reached over and placed his hand under Victoria's chin. He gently pushed it until she was staring back into his eyes.

"I love you," he said. His eyes moved from hers down to her lips and back up.

Victoria's eyes fluttered. Even his littlest touches made her melt. "I love you," she whispered back.

In a flash, Harry has moved in and his lips crashed to hers. As if they were kissing for the first time all over again, Victoria felt fireworks exploding as they connected.

Harry's gently bit her bottom lip, asking for entrance. She gladly obliged and let her hands slide up his still bare chest. She felt hi slight shiver as her hands came in contact with his skin. She smiled slightly into the kiss, it was good to know she had the same effect on him as he did on her.

Harry's hands slowly slid down from her face to her waist. He paused as he passed the sides of her boobs, causing her to gasp slightly. He smirked into their kiss and took the opening of her mouth slightly to deepen the kiss.

Just as Victoria made to move onto Harry's lap a sharp voice came from the doorway.

"Oi! What the bloody hell is going on here?"

It was Charlie.

Victoria and Harry drew apart so quick they bumped heads trying to separate.

Victoria felt the heat rising to her cheeks and Harry made to stand.

Luckily for her, Harry spoke first. "Morning, Charlie." He ran his fingers through his hair and to the back of his neck. "Sorry about that." His voice was a low rumble and he wasn't looking Charlie in the eyes.

"Hm," Charlie grunted. "Well, you two really know how to get my morning off to a bloody awful start."

Victoria looked up at Charlie who was just as red as her in the face. He looked very cross, and it almost made her giggle at how seriously he was taking last night's conversation. It also felt strangely comforting to know Charlie really did care so much about her.

"Anyway," Charlie grunted again. "We have lots to do, so Mr. chosen one, go put on a shirt and meet me in the back garden." He looked between the two of them one more time before exiting the kitchen. He looked completely disgruntled at the sight he had just walked in on.

"Sorry," Harry and Victoria mumbled to each other at the same time once he was out of the room.

Harry smiled and said, "We can pick this up later, yeah? Meet me in here right when the reception ends tonight okay?"

Victoria nodded and smiled. Harry leaned in and gave her one more peak on the cheek before heading upstairs to throw a shirt on and go help Charlie.

Not even moments later a sleepy Ron waltzed into the kitchen. "Morning," he mumbled as he took a seat at the table. Victoria placed a plate of eggs, toast and bacon in front of him. He grunted in appreciation.

He absent mindedly poked at his food before looking up and noticed he was the only one at the table. "Where's Harry?" he said through a mouthful of eggs.

Victoria smiled and rolled her eyes. "In the garden with Charlie."

"Why is he already out there?" Ron questioned through another mouthful of food.

But before Victoria could respond an exciting sight caught her eye from the front door.

"Hermione!" Victoria dropped the kettle on the stove and ran to greet Hermione in the doorway. She threw her arms around her neck and the two of them hugged for a moment before breaking off into constant rambling about their summers, books they had read, and how everyone was doing.

Ron just sat silently at the table as the two girls sat and caught up.

Victoria was listening to Hermione tell her about one of the libraries she had visited in France when Fleur rushed into the kitchen looking panic stricken.

"There you two are!" she exclaimed.

"Come, come! We must be getting ready before the photographer arrives!"

Before either of the girls could respond to Fleur she disappeared from the room. Hermione turned and gave Victoria a worried look. "Has she been like that all summer?"

Victoria just smiled slightly and nodded.

"Victoria has been helping her a lot though," said Ron while throwing his plate in the sink.

"Oh, I'm sure she has been so thankful to have you!" Hermione exclaimed looking at Victoria.

Before Victoria said anything else she glanced at Ron who looked like he wanted to say more but didn't know how to approach it. She looked curiously at him for a moment before it hit her. He wanted to talk and catch up with Hermione alone.

"Hermione, why don't you and Ron catch up a bit? I am going to see what all Fleur needs and then we can start getting ready together?"

"Are you sure?" Hermione asked. Victoria saw a light of excitement flash in Hermione's eyes.

"Of course, Gin is probably not even up," Victoria said while making her way to the door.

Hermione nodded, "Okay see you soon!"

Victoria smiled and winked a Ron before leaving the kitchen.
