"You said that you hate this place. But that's not true. You're simply trying to run away." Kazuma then seized Kyo's wrist, alarming him. Kyo's heart started to pound apace, he slowly started to panic. What's happening?

The rain began to beat heavily; their hair and shoulders soaked in frosty water. "You realize that the warmth from this "lukewarm bath" comforts you." Kazuma pressed on "However, the truth is that you don't want your true form to be discovered. You're scared of what you'll lose if it's found out." Unease and distress shook Kyo's face. His mouth slowly dropped and his eyes started out of his head.

"You're just trying to run away from this uncertain situation!"

"No-!"

"-And therefore..." Kazuma looked intensely into Kyo's eyes

"I'll take away your option to run. And we will learn whether or not you'll lose what you've found."

Kyo looked horrified, a shiver climbed up his spine. His throat closed up and his pupils narrowed. Suddenly, he heard a quiet, gentle footstep from behind. Tohru. Tohru Honda. Standing innocently and unsuspectingly behind him, wondering why Kazuma called her outside. She held a pink umbrella over her head to cover her from the pouring rain. Kyo then realized the agonizing situation at hand.

"Kyo, let's find out..."

The rain seemed to slow into droplets as he glanced frighteningly into Tohru's bubbly eyes. Kyo's heart was beating so loud it could explode. Given the circumstances, it might be better if that happened. His breath shortened, his ears started to ring and he couldn't think straight. He knew what was about to happen all too quickly, and he was terrified to the core. Would those sweet eyes ever look at him the same again?

"..if your life is truly over."

Kazuma swiftly covered Kyo's terrorized eyes. He then gripped the rosary, and yanked it from his wrist. It was all going so fast, yet Kyo felt like time had stopped. He felt the weight of the rosary slowly disappear from his wrist. He never knew his wrist could feel so light just from the removal of a delicate bracelet. His only source of comfort was gone. The rain seemed to slow down so much that he could see each individual droplet brush past his face. Everyone inside held their breath. What was coming wouldn't be a beautiful sight.

"It's alright. Because I love you." those words from his mother echoed in his head

"That's why I don't want others to see you."

Kyo caught sight of Tohru's puzzled and surprised face, unbeknownst to what was coming.

"Nobody look at my child."

Kazuma looked grave. He was nervous, yet tried to remain strong and serious. The damage has been inflicted. He's done all he can do. Now, all he can do is stay hopeful. Kazuma's throat burned, but it's time that they all face their fears. It's time Kyo realizes that it's okay to be loved by someone else.

"Don't look"

The rosary dropped onto the cement dotted with rain drops below. The sound of the beads tottering on the unbreakable ground below never felt so loud to Kyo. His stomach dropped, his heart ceased to beat, his pupils narrowed, his jaw tightened, and he felt his chest contract. The rosary is gone. His protection is gone. And Tohru is here to witness it all.

"Disgusting." Akito's voice rang in Kyo's head. He remembered the time when he first revealed his true form in front of him. Akito covered his nose with the sleeve of his kimono and looked at Kyo in terrible disgust. Even so, Kyo could tell he was smirking. The curse continues to haunt him. It will never go away. It will continue to trap him inside the cage he was born with. The cage the wild cat belongs in.

Kyo's eyes suddenly magnified ten times the size it was into an alarming bright orange. His scleras disappeared and have been replaced with an inky black. He was starting to transform. His true form. The form he despises so greatly. All in front of the girl he cares tremendously about.

"DON'T LOOK!" Kyo howled at the top of his lungs in distress. Not in front of Tohru. Please.

Tohru let go of her pink umbrella. It darted into the murky above, slowly drifting back onto the ground. The rain pounded more than ever. There was no trace of sun or moonlight. Nothing but gloom and darkness.

"This is Kyo's true form?" Akito's voice reverberated in Kyo's ears. He remembered the first time he transformed in front of him. His words were so deafening.

Kyo dropped to his knees, crossing his arms across his body as if to shield himself. Smoke and flare started to steam out of Kyo's body. His red shirt began to rip apart as his body began to mutate. His spine stuck out of his spice colored skin and his veins popped out visible enough to see. Kyo put his hand on the ground and it quickly grew into a terrible enormous rust paw.

"His body is gross and misshapen."

Kyo grunted in pain and despair as his body completed changing form. He felt everything slipping away from him. Akito's voice pierced him and he could think nothing but absolute torment.

"And what's that? What an awful smell."

Kyo looked up and yowled at the sky. The veins on his neck began to pop out, slowly moving to his face. Tears formulated in his large inhumane orange eyes. He couldn't take the misery.

"This is the Cat spirit's true form?"

Kyo had completed the transformation. He stood on his four monstrous legs, his tremendous fiery eyes gaped at Tohru. His mouth still dropped from the shock. His sharp, rigid teeth were fierce. They looked as if they could cut through any material, and anything that stands in their way. Tohru was frozen in shock and fear, processing what had just happened. The wind swayed her hair, brushing her face with an icy chill. She was petrified by the strange creature that stood in front of her. Who is that? What is that?

"Kyo...kun?" Tohru said quietly. She quivered slightly. That didn't look like the Kyo she knew.

"Disgusting" Akito's voice rang out yet again through Kyo's ears. Penetrating every part of his revolting body. He felt like bursting.

It's all gone.

He leaped up high up into the sky, crashing on the roof. His massive paws cracked Shigure's once sturdy kawara roof. He then sprung into the vast forest. Everyone stood frozen in place, aware of what just happened. Unable to move, not daring to speak, uneasy of what's going to happen next. They can only pray to a god above, if one even exists. If one is even willing to listen for such a demonic, cursed creature.
