"Get lost." Kyo hissed and glared at Tohru intently. He watched as Tohru dive head first into the wild shallow waters far in front of him. Tohru, trembling, picked herself up out of the water, coughing and wheezing. Her shoulder bled and her clothes were damp and freezing. She was shivering in the icy water.

"You're annoying! I want you out of my sight! Next time, I'll cut your face up! Get lost!" Kyo turned his back and faced the other direction. Tohru slowly got up and turned around. She began to slowly tread through the thick waters, on her way back to Shigure's home, squeezing her injured shoulder tightly. Kyo clearly wasn't in the mood to listen or talk. What would happen to her if she continued to approach him like this?

"If I'm going to lose her anyway...." Kyo understood "I'll hurt her so bad that she'll never forgive me. So bad she'll never have to worry about me again. I'll wreck things so bad she'll never want to look back." Kyo clasped his hands on his head "I can't take it anymore.. I'm sick of losing people, sick of pity. Sick of feeling miserable, and sick of having things forced upon me."

"No honey, you're as human as anyone else." his mother's voice appeared again. She had held Kyo's small wrist and rosary "You just turn into that form for a little bit because of black magic. You turn back to normal right away, don't you? That proves it." she pulled his wrist close to her forehead "It's alright. I'm not scared at all."

"Liar." Kyo said "You were scared, weren't you? Isn't that why you checked dozens of times every day.. to make sure the rosary was on?" Constantly, his mother would roll up his sleeves and check for the safety of the rosary. Holding his wrist softly.

"I'm proud to have you as my son." she had avowed.

"Yeah, right. Why didn't you let me outside, then?"

"I won't let anyone see you, because you're so adorable."

"You were ashamed of me, weren't you?!"

"No, I love you. I would die for you."

"Why is that all you ever said? You never acknowledged the real me, so why were you always proclaiming how much you loved me?!"

"Your mother loved you more than anyone else, you know." His fathers voice echoed.

"Stop it! Don't force that "love" on me!" Kyo snapped and howled, gripping his head harder and gritting his teeth "I don't need it... Don't need it.."

Tohru, stopped in her tracks midway through the big pond. She slowly let go of her arm and clenched her fists. She had enough time to think. Is she really willing to let go of Kyo now? That monster, it's still Kyo! And Kyo isn't a monster. Tohru has known Kyo. She's gotten time to know what kind of person he is. Kyo is a good person. He smiles, laughs, and gets angry like any other human being. What is going on in his mind right now? What made him react the way he did? What's he feeling? She remembers his reaction when he transformed. How he looked horrified by his own true form. She's seen very well how the curse has been ruining Sohma's lives. From Hatori nearly getting blinded, to Momiji getting completely shunned by his mother. There's still so much to learn about the Sohmas, to learn about Kyo. She whirled her head around, determined to get to Kyo as soon as possible. Even though she was freezing, even though tears still clouded her vision, even though she was injured badly, she would definitely not lose sight of Kyo. There is still so much she wants to know and do. She wants to get to know the true Kyo, and how he feels. She quickly tried running back to Kyo, stumbling a bit in the water. She hurried and clasped Kyo's fearsome arm. Kyo whipped his head back at her, annoyed and angry.

"Let's go home. We have to go.." Tohru lifted her head up courageously and looked at Kyo "..back home!". Tears that couldn't fall earlier started to reveal themselves. "Otherwise, I have a feeling that Kyo-kun won't come back to that house." she envisioned Kyo's back fading away as he walked farther and farther away from the house, then the door shut closed. "Ever again."

"Stop. Let go!"

"No!"

"Don't you get it?!"

"No, I don't get it!" she shouted.

"Let go of me!" Kyo yelled. He lifted the arm carrying Tohru and struck it onto the muddy ground on the other side of him. Tohru held on tightly, not willing to let go of him ever.
