Chapter Three: Kinda Sorta Movie Night

Karin POV>

My eye twitched slightly as I looked at Sakura who spooned orange chicken and chow mien onto a paper plate. She didn't seem to care that she invited a boy over to my house without asking, and to make it worse Suigetsu didn't even like me getting a ride to school with the guy!

"Do you want some?" Sakura asked turning around and eating a piece of orange chicken, "It's good."

"I don't want any Panda Express, I wanna know why you invited Rei over without asking me first." I crossed my arms over my chest and tapped my foot on the tile floor of my kitchen.

She shrugged, "He seems pretty chill, besides Suijetsu was busy with something." she answered walking into the living room and sitting on the couch. "I invited Sasuke too,"

"What do you think this is??" I shouted following after her, "A double date?!"

Sakura shook her head, "No, a 'get-well-soon' movie night. It'll be fun."

I huffed and brushed my fingers through my hair, "Oka-"

I turned to hear knocking at my door. I walked over to it and unlocked it, opening it up to see Rei with a couple of wine coolers and Sasuke who had a six pack of beer in his hands, "Something to knock the cold outta your system," Sasuke said just waltzing in my house. With his shoes on.

"Shoes off Sasuke," I scoffed in his direction. I heard a groan and he bent over, setting his beer down, and untied his shoes before slipping them off of his feet. "Are those pandas on your socks?"

"Shut up."

I giggled and looked over at Rei who was slipping his shoes off in the building hallway. I let him in and he put his shoes on the rug next to the door, "Mind if I have some Chinese food? I'm starved." He asked loudly.

"Help yourself! But the tomatoes are Sasuke!" Sakura answered.

"Sweet. Karin you can help yourself to the wine coolers, Sakura said you liked them." He said getting a paper plate and helping himself to the food.

"O-Oh, thanks Rei." I said bending over and grabbing a blue wine cooler.

"Don't worry about it. Hand me a red one?" He asked over his shoulder.

"Sure." I grabbed a red wine cooler with my free hand and walked over to him and gave it to him. He smiled and walked into the living room and sat on the floor and began to eat.

Duchess ran across the floor from my room and climbed up into Rei's lap happily, "Who's this little critter?" He asked.

I walked over and sat down near him and picked her up, "Her name is Duchess. Sorry she really likes table food."

"That's fine," he shrugged and bit a tiny piece of broccoli off and gave it to her. She sniffed it and put it on the ground before going to his plate, taking a piece of teriyaki beef, and then ran off. Rei died of laughter.

"I am so sorry," I apologized opening my drink.

"It's fine, mine does it all the time." Rei shrugged.

"You have an Itachi too?" Sakura teased.

Sasuke groaned, "The joke really isn't funny anymore Sakura,"

"Yeah it is." she giggled and they started to play wrestle on my couch.

I sighed, kinda wishing that Suigetsu was here so that we could play wrestle...

"Karin? Are you alright?"

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Rei, "Hm? Yeah I'm fine... just.."

"Missing shark boy?" Rei teased as Duchess came over. He handed her a piece of beef and she ran off again happily, "She's so cute."

"She's a monster." I commented taking a sip of my drink.

-couple hours later-

Sakura and Sasuke literally passed out drunk in my bedroom bed, leaving me and Rei out in the living room on the couch. We say one cushion away from each other. We were on our 4-5th wine cooler and watching Lilo and Stitch drunkly.

"Why...why doesn't she get a normal dog? Like why a blue one?" Rei asked glaring at the screen.

"Maybe she likes blue..." I said with a hiccup.

He sat closer to me and I leaned over into his shoulder. He wrapped an arm around me and we just cuddled for the rest of the night.
