Chapter Four: Drunk In Love?

Karin POV-

I woke up with a killer headache. I groaned and looked at the ceiling above me and stretched my arms and legs where I was laying. Something shifted underneath me and I instantly remembered that I had fell asleep with Rei underneath me and we cuddled the entire night. I looked onto the floor for my glasses and fell off of the couch getting them.

"Shit," I groaned.

"Glad you're feeling better Karin."

I almost died at the sound of Suigetsu's voice, "It really isn't what it looks like." I told him standing up and putting my glasses on.

"Then why don't you have on pants, and where is his shirt?" He questioned.

"Listen Sakura invited him and Sasuke over and we got drunk. Sasuke and Sakura took the room and probably had drunk sex so we slept on the couch. Nothing happened." I explained looking around for my discarded pants.

"Sakura and Sasuke aren't here." He shouted angrily.

"What?" I questioned. I picked up my sweat pants and pulled them on as I walked down the hall to my bedroom to see no one in the bed, "I swear they were-"

"Karin just tell me the truth." He said behind me, his voice angry.

"I am!" I shouted at him walking back to Rei who was sleeping soundly on the couch with a pillow in his arms in my place. "Rei wake up!" I shouted shaking him.

"Huuu-Huh?" He moaned softly. "Karin I wanna go back to bed, leave me alone." He said turning over.

"Back to bed?" Suigetsu asked with his arms crossed.

"Suigetsu I just met this guy THIS WEEK!" I shouted, on the verge of ripping out my hair. "If I wanted to cheat it wouldn't be with him!"

"Well you seemed pretty content with him while you were sleeping." He retorted.

"I was drunk!" I screamed.

Rei rolled over onto the floor from the sound of my screaming and groaned loudly, "Jesus, Karin." He groaned. "Why are you screaming so loud?" He asked sitting up and rubbing his head.

I saw the rage in Suigetsu's eyes as he looked at Rei, "What did you and Karin do last night?!"

"Excuse me?" Rei asked with one eye closed as he rubbed his temple. "Dude it's like 9AM on a Saturday, your breath smells like sushi, my breath smells like beer, and I feel like shit." Rei stood up and almost toppled over, "Lemme get some tea-"

"Fuck the tea!" Suigetsu shouted, pushing Rei. "What did you guys do last night?!"

Rei glared at Suigetsu, "If you're so worried about what me and Karin do so badly then maybe you shouldn't be with her!"

Suigetsu backed up a step and glared at Rei and I, "Then maybe I shouldn't." He said clenching his fists.

"What? Suigetsu but-"

"We're done with. Bye Karin." He looked down at the ground as he walked away. He slid his sneakers on and left out of my house.

"Karin I didn't think that-"

"Get. Out." I said feeling my eyes start to burn.

"Karin please just-"

"OUT." I shouted.

Not another word was said and Rei left me all alone in my living room. He left the apartment and I fell to my knees and cried softly. Suigetsu and I have been together since high school... not having him around because he was jealous of Rei (who I hardly knew) was completely out of hand.

I wrapped my arms around myself and sighed, sniffling and wiping my eyes. I looked around on the ground for my phone and found it under Rei's shirt and hoodie that he left on the ground when he left the apartment. I threw the wrinkled fabric across the room and quickly called Ino.

"Hello?"

"I-Ino, Suigetsu broke up with me!" I cried into the phone.

"He did WHAT?!"

"This morning he-"

"Why?!"

"B-Because he found me sleeping with that kid Rei and-"

"I heard he was big is that true?"

"Not that type of sleeping Ino! We were drunk and I passed out on top of him on the couch and Suigetsu saw!"

"Oooohhhh that's bad. Did you at least explain to him what happened?"

"H-He wouldn't believe me."

"Well you can't blame him entirely. I'll be over in a bit with some ice cream."

I sniffled and wiped my eyes from behind my glasses, "Okay."

"Half baked Ben 'N' Jerry's?" She asked.

"Mhm." I nodded.

-Later-

"Feeling a little better now?" Ino asked.

"Mhm." I moaned with a spoon of ice cream in my mouth.

Ino smiled, "At least it's a fresh start. And besides, you get back at that dumb ass Suigetsu now."

"How?" I muffled with a mouth full of ice cream.

"Wear that hoodie to school on Monday to make Suigetsu mad. It'll drive him crazy."

"I dunno Ino... I can't do that to him."

"He accused you of cheating, just have a little fun."

'A little fun Huh?' I thought in my head. I nodded and Ino smiled brightly at me.

"Cool. Now I gotta run, Sai and I have things planed."

"Sai? Didn't think he knew how to do that kinda dating stuff."

"He's learning." Ino said with a giggle. She stood up and gave me a tight hug and then left out of my front door.

I sat and looked in my lap at the pint of ice cream that was damn-near empty. I thought a little bit about what Ino said. Maybe I will play with Suigetsu a little bit. Might as well, he already accused me of cheating. Not like I have a good reputation at school anyways.

I picked up my phone and texted Rei.
