   "Faster Shin-chan, we are late. It is the first day we are going to high school." Kai said from the door. I look at the lift button in front of me. Sighing, I quickly run down the stairs. "Oyaji, the lift stuck again, can you have a look at them. We are off!" I shout towards the close door room.

   A man with a mustache walks out from the room, he smiles but the smile never reaches his eyes. "Sure Shin-kun. Be careful on your way." the man said. "Geez, oyaji just show that sad face again. He should just go home if he miss his family that much."

   KID coughs, I mean Kai, sometimes, I am wondering why he thought of saving this man. However, it is probably because of how he admire the magician. Kuroba Toichi, a magician that Kai and I save few years ago. Kai is fixed on saving the magician for his inevitably death.

   I realize that KID never do anything to avoid the first KID from disappearing, probably because we already have Pandora and we doesn't need to act as bait anyway. Toichi-san, although always come to visit us and take care of us, he always seem to look for something.

   "I don't understand why you save him but I guess, he is sad that the fire steal his ability to perform magic." I said softly. "I can understand him though, the feeling of lost when I can't be a detective for the first time. However, I am broken and that isn't important to me now."

   KID or Kai, smiles warmly at me. "He is someone important. His existence is essential. Hey, I'm taking this way." Kai said, showing me the subway. "I am taking this way. See you around then. I'll be meeting you at home." shyly I said. This is the first time both of us doesn't go the same way.

   "See you at home, Absinthe." Kai said toward me flirtatiously. I responded back with a seductive smiles before tracing his jaw with my finger. "Then, I'll look forward to see you at home too, Moonshine."

   Both of us part ways. I cover my own face, cursing myself internally for my own shameless action. Unaware to me, KID is having a battle internally with himself too. I walk towards my school that take 30 minutes from our mansion. Kai takes the subway and walk for 15 minutes to his school. He must be excited to be able to go to school again.

   I step inside the classroom. I know lots of people but I have to act like I didn't know them. I put my hand on my hip, feeling the gun that I usually carry. I didn't know why, but it is a special gun for me. Both KID and I illegally create the firearm. Both of us have been broken and hurt. That's why, law isn't something that matter anymore.

   I head towards the seat behind 'my' seat. A few minutes then, Kudō Shin'ichi and Mouri Ran step inside the classroom. Suzuki Sonoko follow in tour. "Ran, there is cute guy over there." since living with a thief has make my ears more perceptive, I act like I heard nothing.

   "Oi, Shin'ichi-kun, go and talk to him. I want to know his name." Shin'ichi groans but walk towards me. He cough slightly to catch my attention. "I'm sorry but are you new here?" he scratch his head, clearly uncomfortable. "I am, I guess everyone is." he ducked his head. Embarrassed by his statement.

   "I mean, I have never see you in Beika before." he corrected himself. "I see, I am not that new. I've been living in Beika quite long but I am not attending Teitan Elementary or Teitan Junior High." Shin'ichi nods. "Kudō, Kudō Shin'ichi." I smiles, "Edogawa Shin. My pleasure knowing you, Kudō-kun." We bows respectfully toward each other.

   "These are my childhood friends." Shin'ichi said, uninterestedly introduce Sonoko and Ran. "Mouri Ran, it's nice meeting you, Edogawa-kun." she smiles. I froze and probably that wasn't a good idea since Shin'ichi look at me dangerously.

   "Likewise, Mouri-kun." she seem startled by my greeting but smile nonetheless. "Suzuki Sonoko, so are you single?" Sonoko said, holding out her hand. I bow, taking her hand and brush my lips across her knuckles softly. "A pleasure to meet your acquaintance Miss Suzuki. I am afraid that I already have someone filling my life."

   She sighs but nonetheless accepted my answer. "Suzuki is fine, I cringed out at those formalities." smiling I nod. "Then Suzuki-kun, Mouri-kun, and Kudō-kun. It is my pleasure to meet your acquaintance." they smile at me.

   As my last life, Shin'ichi sit in front of me, the place I left for him and Ran beside him. Sonoko behind Ran, and it mean beside me. The class started to get crowded and noisy. The teacher come in to give us some brief explanation before starting the class.

   The lunchtime lastly has make itself appear. I pick up my bento before standing up from my seat. "Edogawa-kun, do you want to join us for lunch?" I smile. It is okay to change these for a bit right? "That would be my pleasure, Mouri-kun. Hope I'm not disturbing you guys." waving off my concern, the four of us sit under the beautiful sky.

   "Which school are you from Edogawa-kun?" Ran asked. "I was homeschooling for my junior high. However, I attended a school in Osaka for the first year of my elementary school. It kind of go wrong though." I laugh softly. "Go wrong?" Shin'ichi asked. Well, got you.

   "Someone spread a rumor about I am rich, so I was kidnapped for some money. It kind of go wrong that's why my aunt made me attend homeschooling." I said smiling. "Poor you, you must have hard time." I just smile. Ran is always an angel.

   "Your aunt? Your mother isn't there?" Sonoko asked. I smile sadly. "I am glad that she isn't there though, if she was alive, she would give her life to get me back."

   Sonoko apologize for her insensitivity. The situation seem to calm down after that. Everyone eat in some tense silence but Ran start to cheer the mood. After done with the lunch. We head back to the classroom. Ran and Sonoko occasionally ask about my life and school.

   "What is your lover like?" Sonoko suddenly asks. I blush madly at the question. "They are beautiful, smart and kind. They always make me laughs and always look serious but they are actually stupid. "You seem to like them very much." laughing, I look at Ran who said so.

   "That's a stupid statement Mouri-kun. I love them, there's no doubt." I smiled widely at those words. Shin'ichi look at me weirdly. "How long has you guys been together?" I make a thoughtful face. "Well, it is been 12 years? We are practically grow up together." Shin'ichi coughs.

   Kai and I know each other long enough so it is counted right? They didn't ask about Kai anymore after that, probably too shock about my statement.
