"I can't believe it!" Kuroba Kaito said, almost shouting. "Why Kuroba?" I ask, placing the hot chocolate in front of him. "My dad, he just tell me that he was Kaitou KID! ON MY 16TH BIRTHDAY NONETHELESS." he said in frustration. "That's good." Kai said, putting his hot tea.

"What do you mean it is good?" Kaito groans. "Good that he told you. What if you find out when he is caught or something?" Kai said nonchalantly. However, I know he meant it. "Well, I guess Kai is right. Kuroba, you should go home and meet your dad. He might tell you this because it's important." I sip my ice coffee.

"Why? Why do everyone think it's appropriate for him to be a thief?" Kaito whispers. "It is better than being a murderer. Because I have been following KID's news, I know that he never hurt people and he's a good thief despite everything." I mumble.

"Kuroba, you might didn't want to, but don't you remember, Kuroba-san can't perform magic. Your dad can't even hold out his hand without trembling, how can he be Kaitou KID now? Don't you think he has something to say more?" Kai said. I guess he's mad at this version of himself.

"You know, I never meet my parents. I didn't know who they are. I guess you're lucky to have a father. You should appreciate him more. What if you know that he's KID and he has been killed." Kai said, trying not to give anything away.

"You guys are right. I'm too immature." Kaito slam his head on the table. "I'll be going now. Thank Edogawa-kun, Kai." we watched as the 16 years old Kuroba Kaito run away.

"He's immature." I said nonchalantly. "Eh?" Kai looks at me like I have grown two heads. "You know. Whatever happens to you have shaped you. I doubt I will be in love with the you of this world version." Kai laughs and nuzzle against me.

"Your new birthday won't be that far off, right?" I said, looking at the marked calendar. 0808. Kai scratch his head. "It is. However, today is still my birthday." he smooches me with hiss affection again and again. I laugh. I need to protect you so you can keep me ground.

"We always has this kind of affectionate chemistry you know." he grins. "You mean when Shin's birthday is 1010 and Kai 0808?" he nods with great excitement. "I am excited." he said. "Way of stating the obvious." I mumble. "What is that again Shin-chan?" He tackles me but the news is my savior.

KID bows to Kudō, "However, your companion's beauty has caught my eyes." I didn't know how and did I even blush before but I guess the blush on my face intensified. "You pedophile!" Nakamori-keibu roars. "My, my keibu. Such strong language. Do you even know that I am, a phantom an ageless entity."

I snicker. "Thanks Kudō." I said, smiling at my former self. "I am glad to be able to see KID again." he nods. He probably didn't understand how happy I am now. After all, he isn't Kudō Shin'ichi that steal Kaitou KID's heart.
