I Just Want Us Safe

Lucy's POV

"I said be quiet!" I stood and yelled over the bickering guild. The higher ups were in a meeting and were arguing like usual.

"The point is, Lissana was planning something, and we either need to prepare for whatever may be coming, we fight head on, or we sit and bicker and let them come right up to our doorstep!" I sat back crossing my arms across my chest. I looked over at Natsu who was rubbing his eyes with the heel of his hand then holding the bridge of his nose between, clearly exhausted with his fellow guild mates. Bisca and Alzack were chasing Asuka and were trying to get her to sit with Happy, people were arguing, it was a mess.

"Look, I think we just need to locate the guild, and go from there," Natsu breathed, his eyes still pressed together. The engagement was beginning to stress him out, and we just finished moving him fully into my apartment, since Happy and Carla's kids are growing up so fast, he just gave the house to them officially.

"Natsu's right.. At this point, I think that's the only thing we can do." Erza gestured towards Natsu and looked at Master Makarov.

"Lucy, do you have any idea why she rebelled in this manner?" Makarov asked. Erza, Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, Elfman, Mira, everyone looked at me for the answer.

"While I was in the Dragon Realm, we got word of disturbance outside our world, meaning Earthland. Igneel sent Sapphire and I to the gates, to find Lissana and this man trying to contact a dragon. The queen to be exact. I kept an eye on them, seeing it was Lissana and all.. One day, I was watching them trying to enter the gates, which to them was just a wall outside the city. The man with Lissana asked why it was so important for her to find the dragons. She said she had suspicions that someone she knew was trying to take over the Realm. This got my attention. Of course the man asked for the name of the infiltrator."

"Don't tell me.." Natsu sighed.

"She said my name of course. I continued to listen and learned that she had been having these night visions that I had turned evil, and once I returned I would destroy Fairy Tail, and take over the Dragon Realm. She never thought of me inheriting the throne, not overtaking it. The man asked what the difference was between Lissana and I, since he knew that she was rebelling against us. She said that the difference was that she was going to win over Natsu. That I would only manipulate him and every one around me," I continued.

"She was crazy, she was absolutely crazy.. What could've drove her off the deep end like that? Manipulation, lies, control? That isn't you, it was her," Natsu spoke up.

"I think she wanted you all to herself, and that she thought no one else deserved you. She had suspected that we would end up together, and in her own mind, she made up this crazy story of how I would turn my back on everyone, to deny that it was her all along. And it cost her her life.." I finished by closing my eyes and rubbing my left temple.

"Could she have been planning anything else? It seems her main objective was to obtain Natsu," Erza asked.

"I don't know, but I think we need to at least know what guild she was a part of, and keep tabs on them. The guild themselves might not be bad, it could've just been Lissana," I looked over at Elfman and Mira, and I could see the pain their deceased sister has caused them, and it broke my heart.

Natsu's POV

"Ughhhhhhhh..." I groaned as I landed on our bed.

"Tired?" I heard Lucy ask from the kitchen.

"Yeah" I muffled from the pillow my face was currently in.

I heard footsteps and felt Lucy sit next to me on the bed. She placed her hand on my head and ran her fingers through my hair. Like always, it calmed me down. I turned my head to face her and looked up.

"I'm sorry you've got so much on your plate. I know the engagement probably isn't helping.." Lucy began.

"No, it's actually the only thing that's keeping me sane," I interrupted, "I just want to know what Lissana had planned. I just want you safe.." I sat up and leaned against the head board.

"The nice thing is you don't have to do that on your own anymore. I'm stronger then I've ever been. All I want for you is to feel safe too, and to be happy." Lucy moved down a bit to rest her head on my shoulder.

"I am happy, happier then I've ever been. That's because I finally have you. I know we'll never fully be safe and out of harms way, but I know we can protect each other, and we'll be okay," I looked down at Lucy and moved my arm around her waist and pulled her close.

She sat back up and looked me in the eye, her hand on mine, she says, "We'll be okay."

She kissed me like our first time. I could feel her passion and her hope.

"I just want this to be a place where we can raise a family someday. And I want you here with me.." Lucy said quietly, putting her forehead to mine.

"A family? That's what you want?" I gently asked.

"With you..." she answered.

We kissed again, one after another, full of passion, power, and love. More followed, and we moved as one.

"I love you Lucy, all of you."

Lucy's POV

"Okay sweetie, you cannot focus today, are you okay?" Mira asked. I had been sitting with her at the bar trying to listen to her talk, but to no avail.

"I'm okay, it's just.. Natsu and I-"

Natsu's POV

"Natsu this is important can you pay attention at least a little bit?" Gray asked. I had been sitting listening to him ramble about Juvia, but I couldn't focus.

"I'm sorry it's just..." I started.

"It's just what?" Gray asked again.

"Lucy, it happened."

Lucy's POV

"I was gonna say you have this glow to you..." Mira giggled. I of course blushed.

Natsu's POV

"Finally... I was getting worried! It seemed like it was never gonna happen at first," Gray laughed.

"Gee, thanks Gray," I laughed. I looked down at my ring and over my shoulder at the bar where Lucy was sitting. Gray began to ramble again and I just smiled at Lucy, not paying attention to Gray's story.
