RECAP

Alden smiled, "Well you'll be staying here at Everglen."

Alden quickly added, "Well, if you want to or else we can find someone else."

"NO! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I would love to stay here!" Sophie couldn't contain her excitement. Her smile was so big you could probably see it miles away. Yet, she was still sad she had to leave her human family.

"Fitz is going to take you back and give you ten minutes to say your goodbyes and pack up, then he will bring you back here." Alden said.

"So my human family will think I-I'm dead," Sophie tried to sound normal, but her voice came out in a whisper.

"Yes, then they will be relocated. I'm so sorry that we have to put you through this Sophie." Alden said.

Sophie stayed quiet, so she wouldn't start crying as Alden led her out of his office to the very large living room that may not even be considered a living room. Fitz was sitting down in a chair talking to Biana about something that clearly bothered Biana. As soon as Sophie's eyes met Biana's, Biana left the room.

"Hey, you ready to go Sophie?" Fitz asked kindly.

Sophie still couldn't talk without crying, so she just nodded. Fitz proceeded by taking out a black crystal. Once again he wrapped an arm around Sophie as they were being swallowed by the light.

"Ok I'll wait outside for you and if you can't leave your family then use this. Make sure not to inhale the air till it clears up though." Fitz said as he gave her a tiny bottle that was a little pink.

Sophie just nodded and went inside to go say her final goodbye to her family.

"SOPHIE ELIZABETH FOSTER JUST WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!?!" Sophie's Mother yelled.

Sophie started to say something, but then her brother started crying and yelling "STOP IT! YOU'RE HURTING ME!", which gave Sophie enough time to go upstairs to her room. She packed some clothes, a locket that couldn't open and a photo book of all the memories she had with her family. After she ran downstairs to see her brother with a scratched up arm that was probably caused by him trying to pick up their cat, Marty.

"Ooooo~ Sophie your in sooo much trouble." Sophie's brother said in a teasing tone.

"Just where do you think your going with that gray bag of yours?" Sophie's father asked with a slight bit of anger in his voice.

Her parents started shouting at Sophie. Don't loose control, don't loose control, don't loose control... was all Sophie could think about before holding her breath as she let the unknown gas flood the room. I'm so sorry, Sophie thought as her knees found the floor. Sophie was on her knees with her hand over her mouth crying when Fitz came inside.

"I'm so sorry Sophie. Are you sure you have everything though? We can't come back." Fitz said while kneeling down to talk to her.

Sophie nodded then she thought of Ella her blue stuffed elephant with a Hawaiian shirt.

"Ella... can you get her she's a...blue stuffed elephant with...a bright shirt...and she's sitting on my bed upstairs..." Sophie said between her crying.

"Of course." Was all Fitz said before running up the stairs. A minute later he came down with Ella.

"Ready to go." Fitz asked. "Sorry to rush you, but the Washers will be here soon."

Sophie nodded as tears kept streaming down her cheeks. Fitz pulled her into his arms and let the light drag them away from her passed out human family.

Alden and a woman that looked to be Fitz mother were waiting for them back at Everglen.

"It's ok sweetie. I'm Della, Fitz's mother." the Woman said.

Sophie was still in Fitz's arms crying. Della came over to hug her. Sophie hugged her back as Della told her, "It's ok let it all out.". Sophie started to calm herself down as Della held her.

You can't let them see it... calm down... Sophie thought.

"Let's go inside to get you situated in your new room." Alden said.

Sophie's eyes were red and puffy from all the crying as she followed Alden while Della had one arm wrapped around Sophie's shoulders. Fitz followed them up the first flight of stairs, but then took a left to another room that looked to be Bianas' due to all the girly stuff in it. Alden and Della led Sophie up another flight of stairs then took a right to a door.

They opened the door to Sophie's new room and Sophie couldn't believe her eyes.
