RECAP

They opened the door to Sophie's new room and Sophie couldn't believe her eyes.

***

The room was gorgeous, it had a small chandelier above the bed, a T.V, and an amazing view. The bed was a elegant, yet a simple blue and white with a lot of pillows.

"Oh my goodness..." Sophie's jaw dropped.

"You like it," Della asked, but it came out to be more like a statement than a question.

"Let me show you the other rooms that are part of your room." Alden said.

Sophie followed Alden into one of the other rooms. This room had the view of the lake Sophie almost ran into earlier. The Moonlark was still in the water where it was earlier. The room had white couches with a two nice tables in the middle. It also had a fire place and doors that blended in with the windows, so Sophie could just go outside as she pleased.

"It was really a coincidence that you liked the lake so much earlier and part of your room is in front of it." Alden said with a smile.

"Wow" Sophie managed to breath out.

"This room is meant to do your schoolwork and a nice hangout place for friends." Della said sweetly.

"Last room is the bathroom." Alden said.

"Wait... I have my own bathroom!" Sophie practically yelled.

Alden chuckled and Della laughed sweetly both saying, "Of course."

When Sophie walked in she couldn't believe it even after seeing the other two rooms she never imagined her bathroom would be so big. She didn't even expect to have her own bathroom. There were two showers framed in gold and a large bathtub in between. There was more to it, but Sophie's main focus was the showers and bathtub. Everything was either blue or white and it had a lovely window view of the estate like the other rooms.

"I never thought I would be getting a large room with its own hang out place and very very large bathroom!" Sophie was ecstatic

I guess there are good sides to moving to a whole new world. Uhh... I shouldn't have watched Aladdin so many times it's getting stuck in my head now. Sophie thought. Alden and Della left to let Sophie get used to her room and also give her some alone time after what she just went through. Sophie walked back to her bed and sat there for a while. Finally, she got up and went over to her school bag which had all the stuff she had brought to the Lost Cities. She rummaged through the bag a bit, then she let out a sigh of relief.

She took out her phone which her parents had gotten her, so she could blend into high school a bit more, same thing with her AirPods. She took out her AirPods and put each of the wireless earbuds in her ears and turned on some music from her phone. Slowly she got out of bed to unpack.

SOPHIE'S POV

Even though both Alden and Della have been so welcoming to me I don't think I can ever make this feel like home. My old parents... I don't even know if I should be calling Della and Alden my parents. I guess I'll just start unpacking.

I took out Ella and set her gently on my new bed. Then I took out my photo album of all my human memories with my human parents. I ran my fingers through the pages. Next thing I knew a tear rolled down my cheek. Then, the tears wouldn't stop falling I dropped the album and fell to my knees crying in the palm of my hands. Everything I knew was falling apart. I had to relearn everything I knew, even my own identity. I cried for at least 5 minutes till I started to get a headache. I knew I had to stop crying before I'd be faint.

I ran to the bathroom to go grab a wash cloth. I quickly washed my face, but I couldn't seem to control all my negative feelings at how this happened.

I looked at myself in the mirror to realize I had cried too much. The crystal blue was not blue any more. The red was staining my face. The blood I cried couldn't be seen by them. Crying blood would be seen as a curse.
