Narrator's pov
(Y/N) woke up the next morning on Daveed's lap. She looked up at him with his head leaned over on a pillow.
(Y/N)'s pov
I looked up at a sleeping Daveed. He was so peaceful. I was still holding his hand from the night before. I just stared and admired him. After a few minutes of being awake, a nurse walked in. Despite the nurse being completely silent, Daveed woke up.
"Good morning my love" He said in a deep, raspy voice. His voice sent shivers down my spine and goosebumps across my skin. I sat up to look at her.
"Good morning, you can start getting around with a wheelchair. You'll start PT in a few days. Your full abilities are going to come back but you will have a chair and crutches until then. Sound good?" She said in a quiet but peppy voice. I nodded and she turned to the door to grab a wheelchair. She set it by the door then went off to continue her rounds. Daveed and I looked at each other. A few seconds later, his phone started to vibrate constantly.
"Who's that?" I asked.
"Renée. She says they never left the lobby."
"Tell her to come in here" I said joyfully. He nodded then sent off a text. A few minutes later, Renée popped in.
"Hi guys, there's a someone here and she wants to see (Y/N)." She smiled as she spoke. I looked up at Daveed.
Daveed's pov
(Y/N) looked up at me. I felt her hand start to shake in mine.
"Who is it, Renée?" I asked in place of (Y/N). A woman's face could be seen in the crack of the door.
"It's not her" (Y/N) whispered to me. I nodded and waved the women in. Renée walked in, her dirty shirt still on. The woman behind walked in and stood at the end of the bed. She was a short, skinny, black woman.
"Who is this, Renée?" (Y/N) questioned.
"I don't know, she wouldn't tell me until you were here too but she had an officer with her so she had access to speak with you." We all looked at the woman.
"My name is Luisa. I'm the 911 dispatcher that you spoke with" All of us gasped audibly.
"I'm guessing Renée" Luisa looked at her. "And Daveed" She turned to me. "Which would make you (Y/N)" She looked over at her.
(Y/N)'s pov
"You're the person who saved me?" I asked her.
"Actually no. The woman who saved you and 3 little kids is sitting here in a bloody shirt." Renée looked up from her phone with a look of confusion on her face.
"Huh? I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention." She said apologetically.
"Renée saved me?" I asked looking at them both.
"She called and did everything perfectly. She kept you alive while also calming him and not scarring a child. She gave us the license plate of the kidnapper and it was spot on." Luisa explained.
"What? No, I just called the number." Luisa pulled out her phone and started to play a tape.
------
"911, what's your emergency?"
"I'm on 973 Scenco St. and I have an open fracture, kidnap victim found safe and 2 possible others. I also have 1 suspect on the loose, licence plate: 520 Frank Tom Queen Young" Renée's voice could be heard.
"Copy, sending paramedics and police units to your location." There were sounds of ripping.
"Where did you get that?"
