Three Little Birds

Chapter XXV

Narrator's pov

It's December 24. Christmas Eve. Almost everyone's favorite time of year.

Renée's pov

I was packing a bag for all 3 of us. Every year the cast has a sleep over for Christmas.

"Babe, can you grab the pajamas for Rosie?" He walked down the hall to Rosie's room.

"Mommy, I don't want to say goodbye to Nordstrom"

"She isn't allowed in the theater. You won't have to say goodbye just see you later"

"I guess" Oak arrived with a set of red and white pajamas that matched mine and his.

"Put it in the bag please, I left something downstairs" I sprinted downstairs to the bathroom to throw up. I cleaned myself up before joining my family again.

"You ready?" I asked Oak.

"I hate this holiday" He responded.

"I know, but it'll get better. I promise" I smiled and kissed him.

"Rosie, can you get Nordstrom's leash and bowl?"

"We're ready so let's go my love" He grabbed the bag from the bed. I held his hand as we walked to the car together. Rosie ran out with Nordstrom on her leash with the puppy bag in her hand. Oak put the bag in the car before lifting Rosie to her car seat. He placed Nordstrom on the seat next to her then shut the door.

He sighed and grabbed my hand as we headed off to the Rodgers. Oak always held my hand when he drove. We dropped Nordstrom off at the doggy hotel. Rosie cried the whole way to the theater.

"We're here everyone" Lin and Sebastian came to greet us.

"Rosie, what's wrong"

"I miss Nordstrom" He grabbed her hand and they walked to Lin's dressing room.

"We're all sleeping in our dressing rooms so you can drop your stuff there and then we're going to set up the tree when everyone gets here" Oak and I carried on to my dressing room.

"Give me a second, I'm gonna go find V" I ran in the opposite direction of Lin's dressing room. I headed straight for the bathroom for another morning sickness break.

"Renée, is that you?" I turned as I heard a voice. I could only see their feet because I was in a stall but I couldn't figure out who it was.

"Who are you?"

"It's Tiana"

"Yeah, it's me"

"Are you okay?"

"Im fine" I left the stall when I was done to wash my hands. When I walked out of the bathroom Tiana stood there with Harper.

"Renée, you were throwing up weren't you?" I nodded slowly before walking past them.

"Are you sick?" Harper asked. I shook my head and kept walking. I went to Lin's dressing room where Vanessa sat, still being followed by the 2.

"What's going on and why are there people following you?" Vanessa seemed confused.

I remember that voice from... I don't when but I've heard it before

"We think Renée is sick but she won't tell us" I shut the door and sat them down.

"Can you both keep a secret?" They nodded.

"V, you tell them" She sighed and turned to them.

"She's pregnant" They tried to scream but we both held a hand over their mouths.
