Rainy nights

"Dragons. Wow." Cedric Let's go of his broom and throws it into the corner of his room.

I guess he didn't even notice me.

He lays down on his bed, staring at the ceiling. He doesn't move at all.

He deserves some rest, doesn't he? The task was hard, even though Cedric was the one who solved it as the first one, and his time wasn't that bad, I guess.

He got the egg, it's still standing in the Hufflepuff common room, no one is brave enough to touch it.

Cedric kinda disappeared from the big party in the common room. He's completely exhausted, it was easy to see.

I don't know- maybe he doesn't even want to talk to me right now.

Maybe I don't want to talk to him. I don't even know why I'm here. Because I want to be close to him. Because I'm a emotional unstable, stupid little girl.

„Ced?" I ask carefully, not wanting to scare him.

He sits up. I scared him. He takes his Shirt and puts it in front of his chest, trying to cover up. I can't hide a grin. He still looks so goddamn hot.

The last weeks were weird. I made my decision. And I'm going to talk to him now. Or, at least, ask him if he even wants me.

„Y/n. Oh my god, you scared me. What do you want?" he puts his shirt back on and doesn't ask me if I want to come in. Well, I accept it. What I did wasn't that great.

„I..." I stutter. „I made a decision." I want my voice to be louder. Way louder. I don't want to sound like a stupid little girl.

„Finally." Cedric rolls himself to the side and doesn't even look at me anymore.

„I...I really, really thought about it. For a long time, Ced, you really need to trust me. It wasn't easy. But in the end, it's better if..." „stop it, Y/n. I already know! You chose him, and that's probably better."

It sounds like he doesn't even care.

I make another step towards him. Look at me, Ced. Just look at me, I think.

But he refuses to lock eyes with me. He turns his head even more to the side, and grabs his pillow. It's like he wants me to leave.

„No." I have to tell him the truth now. Even though it might hurt 4 persons. 4. just because I am stupid.

„You know,there's an old saying: If you need to choose between two boys, pick the second one. Because if you really loved the first one, you wouldn't even think about the second one." I begin, and cross my arms behind my back.

Yeah, that was exactly what I was thinking about.

„I couldn't live without you, Ced." And I feel so bad because of that. Because I am hurting Draco, something I never wanted to do.

I didn't even tell him.

What should I do? Break up with him? And tell him I love Cedric? Tell him about how I always loved Cedric, even while we were a couple?

„You're lying." Cedric talks into his Pillow, still not looking at me.

„Look at me, Ced!" I almost yell. His hazelnut brown eyes meet mine.

„Oh. Damn, you're serious." He noticed I'm crying. „Come here, honey."

It's the first time ever he calls me honey. I like it.

Without saying anything, I lay down on his lap.

„Did I just...did I just visualize? Dream? Or did you really just tell me you chose me over Malfoy?" he whispers. I can almost hear the grin in his voice.

„I just told you I loved you." I mumble. He starts playing with my hair.

„Did you tell him?"

I need to lie. I nod my head. „Yeah. I broke up with him, a few days ago."

Days. That was way too much.

Silence. „Ced, do you love me too?" I ask, carefully. I'm scared.

„Did you listen to me on that evening, one of two weeks ago? When you kissed me out of nowhere?"

„I told you you could do whatever you want. And I would follow. Love isn't strong enough for what I feel...." his voice sounds like honey. I like listing to him. Especially if he's talking about me...

I lean upwards and give him a gentle kiss. Really careful, he brushes his thumb against my cheek.

„I've always loved you." he whispers against my hot skin.
