We all sat there in silence , someone had to go outside and check if there is anything happening but who

I pulled her aside and started whispering

She stood up and went to the crowd .

I deeply sighed and watched as the crowd applauded
There was nothing l could do now than just sit and watch
Clarrisa didn't lose eye contact with me she just looked at me till we arrived at the entrance

She looked both ways and jumped outside
I felt as though a huge burden had been put on me . And l felt teary . Wat if she doesn't come back or ....

I looked up and saw David looking very worried

I removed his hands instantly without hesitation 

Me. Special huh , look l can't go all special love Dovey stuff when my best friend is risking her life out there

He seemed to be shocked at my reply so he didn't say a thing

12mins later

I was sitting next to my mother and aunt as they explained to me how they got here
Me. I'm confused
Mom. Look the nurse helped me escape and all the elders too

I couldn't finish my sentence when l saw .......

Clarrisa coming in with Francis behind her . Instantly our eyes locked

David. Wait wat is this guy doing here

We heard people whispering and some holding on to their weapons with eyes ready to kill

Clarrisa. There is no need for that he is here to help
David. And wen has a white person started to help , he's probably going to rat us out unless l kill him before he can

David put his knife close to Francis s soft , tender skin . And everyone started cheering for him

And instantly all eyes were on me

Me. Don't u dare touch him

David. How can u be sure
Me. Coz l know him , l know wat type of person he is and trust me he isn't a rat
David. His white Soo he's just going to sell us out
Me. No he won't and if he does ,but l gurentee he won't l will sacrifice my life and none of u will take blame

Me. This is too show u how much trust l have in him , l trust him with my life

I knew debating with Francis was no use Soo l stood on a nearby big stone and  looked at the crowd of people staring at me
Me. Look , l know the whites have put us all through a lot but l promise you that this guy here is going to help us . He is not a rat l swear his the one who helped me find my family and he even turned away his family to help me because he cares and his different . And killing an innocent man isn't worth it is it . So please find it in your hearts and let him help us

There was a long moment of silence and that's when my aunt stood up
Aunt. Well l was helped to escape by  a white women Soo l say if he's as loyal as you say he is lll let him stay
Then a little kid stood up who looked like he was about 4 years old
Kid. My best friend is Benjamin and his white but his always kind to me

Soon almost everyone had stood up except of David who looked a bit shocked and angry

He looked at me and clicked his tongue then stormed off and  l followed him .

He stopped walking at the room we work in

Me. I'm not taking advantage l am simply doing wats right

David . Look if this guy messes up just once or plays any tricks his dead and l mean dead

He said the words dead in a really serious tone

I pulled him in for a hug . And l could see the shock from his face he. ..... And then .......... We both stood there in silence until
