Mirae fiddled with her phone. She took a deep breath before typing.

*Earlier*

Mirae and Xion sat across from each other.

"Well..." Mirae took a deep breath. "I know it may sound stupid and desperate, but you're a person I consider as a friend. You know how strict my parents are and it makes me happy seeing come over, even though it's only to tutor me."

"Mirae..." Xion took a breath. "I'm flattered, but I don't think you see me as a friend. I think you're just attached to me, or see me as a distraction from the life you don't want."

Mirae looked down. "O-oh..." Maybe he's right, she thought to herself, it does sound a bit desperate.

"You are nice to talk to," Xion lets a calm sigh out. "But I don't think I could really see you as a friend, just someone I'm tutoring. Maybe one day, when we meet under better circumstances."

And the rest of Mirae's last tutoring day was long and awkward.

Mirae was laying on her bed. Again, she was and felt alone. She knew that Yeosang and the others were still busy. They had much more of a life than she did. Mirae's mood felt down. What if one day she met her online friends, and they weren't what she expected of her? She started to get doubts. What if she wasn't what Yeosang thought of her? Or maybe they didn't want to be her friend. Mirae's eyes watered and she cuddled up into a ball.

What also made things worst, her parents had an argument at the dining table and her parents also lashed out at her before sending her to her bedroom. Mirae truly felt like there was no one there for her.

Just then, she heard her phone notification go off.
