"Do you even know where you're going?" Mason asked.
"Well if you ask another question then I will be dropping you off" I say.
Since we left the bowling alley, he hasn't stopped talking or asking questions. All that is going through my head right now is Calix and him not getting arrested. What ever is going on has to have an explanation.
Mason untended and eased back into his seat. Maybe I am being rude right now...
"I was maybe thinking the hospital, start looking there..." I uneasily answered.
My father told me that there was blood everywhere in the hospital room which means that we could find something there. A clue or something! Although, I hope that there wouldn't be a clue because then that means that Calix could've actually have done something.
"No"
I twitched my eyebrows. It almost sounded as if he was giving me an order.
"No?" I oddly questioned.
"Even if there is anything at the hospital, then the police would have cleared it all out and the only thing we would rely on is the blood on the walls" He answered.
Mason tilted his head as if he were thinking about a master plan.
"If we want to find him before the police do then we have to think three steps ahead" He suggested.
I couldn't help but glance at him, then back to the road. How did he know so much about what do it? It was almost as if he was in this kind of situation before. That and...how did he know about the blood on the wall? My father only told me in a private area away from him and Kolton.
The thought brushed out of my head.
"Okay and how do we do this?" I asked bringing the car to a halt.
I am actually glad I have him with me...as company. It's almost 2 in the morning and Mystic Falls has its reputation, as I explained before. If he wasn't with me, I wouldn't have enough guts to stop the car until I got home.
"Well they had already searched the hospital and they have had hours so they had to of have been to her house already the next thing would be for them to start making calls and patrolling the streets, then they would start looking through the woods...the woods would be our best bet" He huffed.
The woods? Is he being serious? Clearly he hasn't lived in Mystic Falls long enough to know about the freaking murders!
"Mason the woods aren't safe at night if you hadn't caught on" I almost laughed.
"Well by the time it is morning the police will have already have searched the entire preserve, and I am going to go out on a limb and say that your friend isn't hiding at The Grill" Mason sarcastically informed.
Woah. Is there something he isn't telling me? It is almost as if he wants to find Calix just as much as I do. Well this just makes me a little better that he is here.
"Besides...you aren't scared of some dark are you?"
"Won't your parent's wonder where you are?" Mason asked as we stumbled through the woods.
"My dad is working with the police and i'm pretty sure my mom is passed out right now...won't your brothers wonder?"
I really loved turning the table on people. You know, turning their question into a question to ask themselves instead of someone else.
My feet stumbled over a few fallen branches as I awaited an answer from Mason. Looks like I'm probably not going to get one...
"They are caught up in their own thing at the moment" He uneasily answered.
