If you don't show up to the ball I swear to god I am going to strangle you!
My thumb practically cracked the screen, hitting the send button.
It has almost been 48 hours, and Elara hasn't said one word to me. I know what you're probably thinking, it hasn't even been two days yet. Well, Elara isn't one for ignoring someone. As a matter of fact she is always talking and the person who burdens the gift of having to listen to everything is me.
Here I am stuck with Kolton at the edge of the bar waiting for something special to happen. This whole idea of coming to the founders party was not only Kotlon, but Mason's idea and he isn't even here yet!
Every special Mystic Falls event is really starting to get on my nerves. Like tomorrow is remembrance day, which I find no point to.
"Maybe this is just her menstrual cycle ignoring you" Kolton assured, leaning back onto the counter-top.
I couldn't even begin to explain the expression I was giving him. We can surely say that Kolton is the stereotypical figure for a jock. Seriously, how does he manage to keep his grades up?
Turning away from him, I noticed that Hanna was following Calix like a lost puppy. He didn't seem too fond of her practically mounting him, and he was already shooting me "the signal".
Wow I haven't gotten the signal since last year. The signal was our way of sending an S.O.S to each other. Basically it was rolling your eyes twice, then blinking. Not too shabby.
"Calix I know you see me!" Hanna blurted out.
Here we go...
How do I get her to leave him alone? Time is short, every horrible idea that passed through my head was a step closer Calix was getting. Maybe we can just pour a drink on her...I am pretty bad at this stuff.
Calix stopped by my side, and before Hanna could put me on the spot her eyes shifted to the left of us.
Golden blonde hair reflected off of my eyes sending my mind to ease. Elara's eyes shimmered in the glow of the chandelier, and her jaw tightened at the sight of Hanna. There was still something abnormal about her. Usually at these kinds of events she gets dressed up, but nothing. Call it my sixth sense.
"You know the fountain could use just a tad more ice, I am pretty sure it's out back" Elara informed with a sassy pitch in her tone.
Hanna dropped her clipboard down to her side and tightened her jaw. Elara to the rescue everyone!
The moment Hanna tried to say some witty remark, Elara rolled her eyes and let out a sigh, stopping Hanna.
"Isn't this job how you afford your lifestyle? I don't want to ruin it all because of some stupid half empty ice fountain" Elara spit.
"Or in your case half full" She finished.
Wow...harsh. I don't think I have ever heard Elara so mean towards someone, especially Hanna and she hates her with a burning passion. Definatly something is up with her, and as soon as Hanna stormed off I wrapped my arms around her.
"Don't ignore me again" I pleaded.
She did nothing but pull away from me. What the hell is wrong with her?
"I'm not staying I just wanted to make sure you were alright, and to tell you that I am gonna be out of town for a few days, just going to my aunt's house" Elara uneasily said.
