Saving Stefan and Elena from travelers was the least of my worries. Although the travelers managed to get bucket loads of their blood. Oh well, Elena and Stefan are safe now. That is all that matters. 

Although I wouldn't say today was a day full of worry. Katherine Pierce is dying, on the brink at that. Majority of the day was spent drinking in her honor. Toasting to one diabolical scheme after the other. 

"Remember when we almost killed Katherine, but then she linked herself to Elena" Stefan recalled. 

"How could I forget brother, but I'll never forget when she pretended to be Elena and kissed me on her front porch" 

"I remember Stefan talking to me about that. Did he end up kicking your ass?" I ask laughing. 

"Let's not start talking about the victor of every fight we've had, but in that particular one-" 

"I won that fight!" Stefan yelled over Damon. 

I didn't have much to toast for other than her turning me into this monster. Finally I was back home with a cup of Burbon in my hand and my brothers sitting on the steps of our house. 

"You know whatever is going on with you and Elena you should fix it. She's the best thing to ever happen to you" Stefan says before taking a gulp of his drink. 

I drop my head. She was also the best thing to ever happen to him. 

"Don't you think I know that?" Damon objected as if it were so obvious. "I can't live without her. But if you think about it I am no better than Katherine, Elena would be better off without me." 

"Damon you are nothing like Katherine, if that's your reason for not wanting to work things out with Elena then you're as dumb as Katherine" I spit. 

"Alright but when the universe starts to freak out because I've torn the dopplegangers who are meant to be apart. I am blaming the both of you. . .Speaking of the universe" Damon concluded taking the finishing sips of his drink. 

I followed his darting eyes over to the start of the driveway where Kimberley was coming from. 

"This isn't the universe, I invited her. You guys aren't the only one with unfinished business with Katherine" I say putting down the glass china onto the brick. 

"I was just starting to wonder when you were going to merge her into our group of friends" Damon smirked as he stood to his feet. 

Caroline Forbes stumbled up the steps as well. She nearly jumped out of her skin noticing us on the front steps. The sight of us made her zipper up her jacket that was covered with leafs. 

"It's a great night for a run in the woods don't you think?" She smiled trying to avoid any other conversation. 

Stefan joined Damon in standing as Kimberley approached us. In her hand was a small brown paper bag. I could smell the tightly sealed bottle of Vodka from the bag. 

"Did the party start without me" Kimberley greeted with a smile referencing the cups in every ones hand. 

Caroline shot her finger up in the air. "She gets it. I'm going to get a drink" She said as if she were so stressed. 

"Miss Martin please do join us inside. Don't worry we don't bite unless I'm hungry" Damon cooed. 

"He's kidding for the most part" I say guiding her behind my brothers into the house. 

Bonnie Bennett sat beside Jeremy Gilbert who was across from Matt Honeycutt. Their eyes lit up at the sight of all of us. 

"What are we all doing?" Caroline said pouring herself a tall glass of booz.
