The deities had fixed her voice problem, though she still couldn't really speak. Apparently, there wasn't a spell for that but God allowed them to give her a gift that would enable her to speak to them in their minds. She usually wrote out what she wanted to say with her magic instead of using her link; mainly because she thought it would be weird if someone just heard a voice in their mind.

Persephone had been at the manor for almost over a year, getting to know the deities and her new home better. It had taken her a while before she got used to having her own room and having the others include her in everything, always asking for what she thought on any matter before continuing with it.

The first time they had ever done that, Persephone had woken up early and had changed into her clothes, and had gone to start on the chores, only to find the deities in the kitchen, all making breakfast. She was going to leave before she heard them talking about her.

⁅One Year Ago⁆

"Did you see the look on Persephone's face when she found out she had her own room?" Life said, with equal amounts of happiness and sadness in her voice.

The others just smiled sadly as they nodded.

"I hated it." Death said as he stopped setting the table, Persephone's eyes started to water, thinking that he didn't like her.

"The way how happy she looked, the fact that getting her own room surprised her. She shouldn't have been surprised. She shouldn't have looked as if Christmas came early. She should have just looked at it like another room. But she didn't. And for that, I'm going to murder the Dursleys for what they did to her."

The others silently agreed as Death sighed, continuing to set the table.

"She's going to be a lot of work," Destruction said, "but it's going to be worth it to help her realize that she's perfect and deserves to be loved."

The others all accepted that it was going to take some time for Persephone to finally get used to a loving home but they were going to do their best and help her.

The looks of agreement on the other's faces to Destruction's statement made tears go down Persephone's face from her place behind the doors. The deities all turned, having heard muffled sniffles coming from the door before Persephone opened them and looked at them, holding her butterfly stuffed animal close to her chest.

"Do you guys really think so?" She mumbled through their minds.

"Do we think what Perse?" Time asked softly as he approached her slowly, not wanting to scare her.
