The atmosphere was tense as everyone looked shockingly at the two children, who had the audacity to act as if they said nothing wrong.
Technically they didn't, but still. To think they could be so straightforward with a smile on their face was a bit unnerving.
Now, what did they say, are you wondering?
Well, let's go back thirty minutes; before lunch was served.

"So Persephone," Lily said softly once the food was served, "I've been wondering how you and Hades met and I was hoping you could tell me."
Persephone quickly finished chewing the food she had in her mouth, taking a sip of her drink before answering.
"I was out exploring the muggle world before I took a small break in an alley for a quick smoke when suddenly, this dummy went into the same alley for the same reason."
Of course, while smoking was just a normal thing in Persephone and Hades' household, it was very much not normal for other people.
So, whilst some looked at them speechless and others ready to give them the lecture of their lives, Persephone was glowing under her mask.
Just a few more seconds before someone (i.e Molly) would blow off the silence with a boom and finally give them some reasonable entertainment.
"Wait, WHAT?!" Harry and Leo exclaimed at the same time, looking at their sister and her friend with disbelief.
The two were not who she expected was going to break the silence but it was broken nonetheless. Didn't matter though, entertainment was entertainment in any way.
"You" "Smoke?!" Was the voice of the Weasley twins as they spoke together.
"And here I was hoping that it was a lollipop you had in your mouth the day we went to visit," Remus said with a sigh. Truly, his goddaughter was much more like his husband than he'd like.
"And your," Here James took a pause, trying to find the right words to continue, "Other father is alright with this?"
Persephone only nodded as Hades explained their situation to everyone else.
"Well, all the adults, along with everyone else in our household, smoke. So really, it was only natural that the habit passed on to us too."
Hades said this in hopes that the others would drop the subject and let him eat in peace, but as it so happened, his words brought anything but peace to everyone's minds. He was also fairly sure that a certain friend of his (Persephone) had just called him an idiot in his mind.
