Not having driven a car in a while, it took you a few overly wide turns and almost hitting a pedestrian to get back into the groove of things. Eventually coming upon your desired destination you now stood staring at the dark coloured door before you.
Taking a breath and knocking firmly on the door you waited for a response, your foot taped against the concrete floor while your ears were met with nothing but silence. Glancing down at the door handle you pondered over whether or not it would be open, choosing to give it a try anyways and letting out a noise in moderate surprise as the door slid open.
"Abbacchio! It's (Y/N)! I brought you something to eat." Deciding to announce your entrance into the apartment your eyes moved across the room finding the appearance of which was very dark, almost pitch black. Blinking a few times while taking your shoes off you leaned along the wall to your side briefly feeling around for a light switch before inevitably giving up.
Sticking your arms out and hesitantly moving around the room you could faintly make out the dark blurry shapes of certain furniture, just missing a few bottles you'd accidentally kicked. The items clinked along the floor still intact much to your relief.
Why the hell was his apartment so dark.
Feeling the frame of a doorway you discovered the walls were much closer together telling you that right before you was a hallway. The image of which gradually became easier to see as your eyes adjusted to the lack of light. Peeking into a few of the open doorways you'd found the closet as well as a bathroom, neither harboring the silver haired man you were currently searching for.
"Abbacchio?" Keeping your tone low incase the man was sleeping and you were disturbing him, you peeked into the last room finding that the curtains were cracked open a sliver. The light from outside barely illuminates the room, but let in enough in for you to notice the pale haired man sitting along the edge of the bed.
Eyes focused on whatever was in the closet before him.
Seeing how intently he was staring at whatever it was you set the plastic parfait containing cup on a nearby dresser moving wordlessly to occupy the spot beside him. Your gaze followed his own finding a uniform hung up within the confines of the small room, the badge sewn into the left breast pocket was enough to know what the uniform represented.
"You know. . .back on the beach in Sardinia I thought that was it. I thought-felt like that was the end. The light at the end of the tunnel." Hearing the man's low tone you remained silent just listening to whatever was on his mind.
"It was like what happens in the movies. My life flashed before my eyes and all I could make out were regrets. The regret of not speaking up, of not acting, of not taking my own life by the reigns. . ." His words trailed off and his head drooped so that his gaze met with the floor.
