"Now just hear me out! Take the time to actually think about how what you're eating is connected to whether or not you're living a happy life."
Staring at the gunslinger seated across from you, a dumbfounded expression was easily seen spread out across your face as well as the others. "That's why I think it's really important-"
You weren't sure- at all what he was saying and to say you were lost was an understatement. "Swallow your food before speaking, I'm barely following along." Quickly butting in and cutting Mista off before he spoke once more the man quickly finished the piece of meat he'd shoved into his mouth raising a hand into the air continuing.
"So, there are animals that are carnivores, right? You know like lions, cats and vultures." Moving his hands around to emphasize what he was saying you still barely followed along just wanting to know what he was getting at. "You won't find meat from carnivores like that at a restaurant." Stabbing his fork into another piece of steak he raised it pointing up at you, "Why is that?"
Unsure of whether or not he was asking the question to your or himself, he quickly leaned forward. "Because it's too smelly to eat! It's disgusting!"
"But there's fish, fish meat is pretty good and also omnivores eat meat." Poking at your own food while stating that, Mista merely let out a huff before continuing with his previous point.
"Alright but listen, cats are too disgusting to eat." Right away wanting to face palm at what he'd begun rambling about your gaze trailed over the table's occupants meeting with Fugo's, who merely gave you a quick shrug presumably just as lost as you were.
"Are we on the same page so far?" Moving his eyes around the table they fell on you as he spoke, you appeared to be the most lost out of them all. Though before you or Mista could say anything, Narancia quickly spoke up voicing his own thoughts while waving his spoon accusingly at the man.
"I'd never eat a cat, not even if some culinary expert said it was the best thing ever!"
"Well on the other hand, have you ever heard of a fish called 'sweetfish'?" Putting his cutlery down as he asked that Mista once again elaborated with very animated gestures, "Sweetfish don't eat bugs. They only eat algae."
"They're vegetarian."
Blinking at the point made you interjected quickly, "So that would mean that they taste better than regular fish, right?"
Nodding in affirmation at your response he let out a hum, "Yes exactly that. See fish guts are usually very bitter to eat, but sweetfish guts are delicious. Because they're not carnivores." An understanding hum vibrated from the white haired man beside you, him having been following along with the topic appearing rather invested.
