The next forty-five minutes were beyond amazing. I talked to them about anything and everything. They were so down to earth that it felt like I'd known them my whole life. I'd ended up talking with Jensen more at the end, because Jared's wife called.
Jensen was everything I thought he would be—calm, collected and very sweet. I could see us talking for hours about nothing at all, just connecting with each other.
I had to constantly remind myself that he was married and not to flirt with him. There was just something about him that made me want to lean in closer or put my hand on his knee which was almost always about to touch mine. If I was being honest, though, he seemed to have to do the same, because he would move closer every now and then, too.
Jared walked back over to us as the door opened behind him.
It surprised all of us, but Kyle and two other guys came into the room.
Jensen sat forward, "Did you find him?"
Kyle shook his head. "We didn't!" He answered in a low growl as he stopped next to me. "I don't think it's a good idea to move around." He looked down at me with a sad expression. "I'm sorry."
I can't express how much that upset me. Yes, I've just gotten over an hour with these two men, alone at that, but I still wanted to see their panel.
This was going to be their last one here, ever, for Supernatural. The show was ending this coming up new year.
"Damn," Jared complained, almost for me.
I smiled at that, fighting back my tears. "It's alright. I wouldn't want to endanger anyone else. Especially you two."
"We can take care of ourselves." Jensen responded as he stood up from his seat. "Are you sure you can't just stay with her while she watches us?" He glanced down at me with his eyes. "Hell, she can sit at the back, so you will have a better view of her."
My eyes softened when I realized he was staring at me, but as fast as I noticed it, he'd turned back to Kyle for his answer.
"We could do that," Kyle nodded and then exhaled, heavily. "However, it's risky. This guy has been changing his clothes, sometimes even changing into a cosplay."
All of us glared at him.
"When we did find him, he'd slip away and end up as someone else a while later. We'd lose him again." Kyle finished, crossing his arms. "He's smart."
I looked down at my lap, worried now.
"Are you kidding me?!" Jared inquired, mad.
...Could my family have sent this guy? As far as I knew, I was the only witch or wizard that could change their appearance at will... I asked myself and then silently sighed. ...Nevertheless, I'd been out of the game for so many years, it's possible that someone else was born with my magic. That worried me, a lot. It was hard to keep listening to their conversation and it was even harder to not freak out...
"How is that possible?!" Jensen hissed under his breath.
...If I did, Jensen and Jared would worry more about me. I couldn't bring them into this, if this guy was a wizard. They'd die, in a heartbeat... I continued my thoughts, a little scared now.
Music started playing on the other side of the wall to our right and it pulled me from my thoughts as I realized that there was a door behind me.
The boys looked at it and then exhaled. It was their cue to come onto stage.
"Don't worry about her. I've got her." Kyle told them, dead serious.
"Please, it's alright." I said then, trying my best to keep my voice even and not give anything away.
