Chapter15:tears & broken hearts.

Ravens PoV:
Getting up.. something everyone hates yet I love no more helplessness .. I decided to make breakfast before going for a run after all it being 7am in the morning..
Running around in the woods forgetting time and clearing my mind ..only realising I had been running for a good 40 minutes and I should go back ..
Heron wasn't up yet .. showering and getting all clean and comfy I decided to go eat.. eating my egg muffins I saw as heron walked in ..
"Hey" he said
"Hmm" I replied chewing on my mouthful
Looking at him then replying "good morning".
"Seems you really know how to cook" he said looking at the egg muffins ..
"Yeah umm I learnt" I said eating up
As he we were eating he said
"So I was thinking that we could out today you know" he said nervously looking at me
"Yeah we need groceries anyways" I told him
"Okay so we leave after breakfast" he stated
Nodding we finished our food and I decided I'd do the dishes as he got dressed seeing I wasn't going to change ..
"Yeah umm let's go" he said grabbing his car keys
Seeing he decided to drive his bmw to just go get groceries he was in a good mood.
(H=heron,R=Raven)
"So umm tell me about your self" he asked
"Orphan,single child,supernatural, Bibliolater" I replied
"I meant what you like to do ,future plans,friends,etc" he elaborated 
R="Reading,swimming,horse riding, don't really care about what I'm gonna do .."
H="What about friends"
R="...."
H=" wait you don't have friends what type of kid are you"
R="I don't like people"
H="introvert" he commented
He parked as we got out of the car

Inside the supermarket
Picking up things which we needed I saw as heron seemed lost more than half the time .. as we walked a woman kept throwing us dirty looks usually I would've not cared but heron seemed uncomfortable with her staring at him with her oldish groggy eyes
R="you know it's not really good to stare at people"I said out loud heron seemed to be surprised to hear my voice and I caught the woman of guard
Woman="it's disgusting to see a 21 year old with kid who is hardly a teenager" her judgy voice annoyed me to no ends
R="it's disgusting that a woman old enough to be a mother herself thinks of a kid who is hardly a teenager like this"
H="Raven" he didn't want a fight it seemed but she had no right to look at us like that it was not right of her to assume things
Woman="your parents didn't teach you manners talking to your elders like this, and your boyfriend here is a little to old for you don't you think" ohh so she thinks we are a couple no honey I'm not into blondes
H="you shouldn't talk like that ma'am and Raven let's go no need to create a scene"
R="no,you think you have the right judge my manners or how my parents raised me,no you don't cause you are a no one and secondly it's dirty and disgusting how you think that every boy and girl walking together are a couple..it tells us so much about what your 'parents' taught you and as for you he is my brother woman" I spat
She looked fuming with the insults paying for our things we left..
H="there was no need to draw so much attention"
R="so what she can just stare all she wants and insult how I was raised and just assume we are dating ... my mama raised no weak bitch heron"
Little did they know they were being watch by a family standing in a distance
Sighing we sat in the car and drove away for lunch and then back home

Herons PoV:
I just wanted to know her. .. not to fight with her when she had just started talking.. that woman urgh mentally cursing myself for getting angry at her I decided to order in pizza..
I opened her door she was sitting on the bed staring the moon lost in her thoughts
"Raven"I said softly she didn't respond I decided to go inside the room and shake her shoulder..
Blinking her eyes
"Oh hey sorry was umm thinking" she said
"I noticed.. umm I came to check on you after you know what happened today."I said
"I'm fine.."she said
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to get angry but I just don't really like people gossiping about me all around town makes me and angel uncomfortable"I explained
"It's fine" she said sighing
"I ordered us pizza what do you think about movie night" I said
"Fine" was all she said ..
Eating and watching movies all night the 2 cousins didn't realise when they fell asleep both becoming miserable to the monsters inside there mind..

Yawning slowly Raven woke up first only to find herself cuddled into her cousin sleeping on his shoulder.. he seemed so peaceful to Raven in the moment no worries in his eyes or the hesitation in his words or the doubt about her..neither did he look troubled by his thoughts.. yet he seemed to be struggling in his sleep as his eyebrows furrowed harshly.. his breathing become uneven.. it hurt the teenager to see someone she had known for a few days to go through what she went through ..slowly shaking him awake she saw as his eyes opened and he took a deep breath.. no matter how her emotionless her face looked her pink eyes held concern about the boy..
R="you good"
H="yeah ..yeah" it seemed like he was reassuring himself more than Raven
R="people come and go as they wish leaving wounds and stains behind no one can heal or clean"
Heron felt every word his cousin had said cause he knew how those wounds felt how they stained his life how he still felt helpless about everything after so long.. pulling the teenager in front of him into a hug he said "it still hurts" the girl understood he needed this.. he'd been troubled by something just like she was patting his back softly she said "and it will because time doesn't heal wounds heron it just creates new ones just more painful and dark" knowing he was in tears she moved her arms looking at him "I'm here you can tell me" she said "if you want" she added
Standing up going into the kitchen to make breakfast..
Yet heron sat frozen thinking what she had told him.. puzzled him she was too young to know what it felt like but yet he himself wasn't that old when his life was wounded deep enough.. 
...
Standing in the shower all heron could think about what he had been trying to forget all his life
Flashback
"Your a monster just like your father" a woman snarled at a 8 year old heron beating the bleeding boy again..
flashback over
he just kept getting beaten up by the woman who was supposed to be his mother ..who was supposed to love him and care for him yet his mother was the one person he wanted to forget oh how he wished she would have killed him when he was born.. he still remembered when his father rescued him when he was 10 telling him that his mother had hid him from his father cause she though monsters didn't deserve parents..
Turning the water off getting dressed and heading to the kitchen only to see his cousin sitting there eating ... she had been there for him not just today but the first night too when she didn't even know him .. sighing "my mother she was abusive .. she use to hit me because she said I was a monster and a curse.. she hid me from my dad because monsters don't deserve parents.. my dad found me when I was 10" he finished looking at her his eyes watered thinking back at it ...
smiling for the first time ever "for the better part of it my dad was never around when I was a kid and every time I just wished he would come home to us but now I regret making that wish.. I hate wishing to meet him" continuing " you know I may have killed people and done a lot of bad things I am a monster in other words but my mom always said no matter what you do never let anyone tell you who you are" she said " she was supposed to be my mom .. you know but all she did was hate me" he said sadly "I miss her you know and the only thing I'm scared of is that I might forget her one day what she looked like.. how she sounded.. how warm her hugs felt all of it ... after losing her I had no one I was all alone and I decided I wouldn't get attached to anyone I wouldn't bother about anything but that night when you had a nightmare I don't know why I felt worried..when you seemed troubled by it I was concerned why you were so lost in thought.. when that woman's stare made you uncomfortable it made me angry and in the morning I ..I felt like it was not right like I was scared for you .. and it's scarring deep down that I'm getting attached to you and ..and" she said "that I'll leave or die" he said she just nodded he hugged her and said " you'll forget her hugs in time and her laughs but what you'll never forget is her love for you Raven she was your mom.. and when you feel worried about me and it scares you it means that you care that deep down beneath all the emotionless faces and cold eyes you have a heart and you fear you will lose someone you have started to care about ..it doesn't make you weak it makes you strong it makes you human." He said holding her tightly stroking her hair softly
They broke apart with teary eyes and small smiles and eat breakfast and in that moment both cousins knew they had found family someone they would trust with there darkest secrets they had found blood and a bond deeper than just cousins ..
