Useless to say, Nico did not drink responsibly.
He had a shot (Jason made him) and three beers. Not exactly in that order.
Leo only had a shot of fireball and a cup of some weird dark stuff Reyna was passing around.
"Where do you even get this stuff?" Leo asked Jason.
"Thalia's twenty-one, so she gets it for us," Jason answered. He was very drunk, having three shots in a row. Everyone was surprised he was still standing.
"Is this your first time drinking?" Reyna asked Nico.
"Dove into my dads whiskey collection when life got bad a few months ago," Nico said, hiccuping.
"And you?" she turned to Leo.
"I've been in mental institutions for three years, of course I've drunk before."
"They allow alcohol?" Piper asked.
"Two kids...they were brothers, looked like twins...anyway, they always found a way to get alcohol. Passed it out. Yeah..."
"Gotta love the youth," Thalia muttered as she grabbed a Red Solo cup.
You know how like, when you're drunk, suddenly pretty much everyone becomes super attractive, like a serious 10/10? Well, Nico looked around and noticed that he was seriously bang some of these people.
Namely Leo.
"Hey..." Nico trailed off, tugging on Leo's jacket sleeve. "I um...need to show you something."
"Okay," Leo followed Nico up the stairs and into a random room. When they got there, Nico immediately threw Leo up against the wall. "Woah-"
"I really like you," Nico giggled to Leo, their faces inches apart.
"That's...that's nice," Leo trailed off.
"And you're really hot."
"Thanks...?"
"Like a ten out of ten would bang."
"Alright, Nico, you're drunk. Like...way drunk."
"So? You are too."
"I'm not...that drunk. Okay...anyway-"
Nico pressed his lips against Leo's. Leo pulled away quickly.
"You just...you just did that," Leo muttered.
"I did. Can I do it again?"
"I didn't even know you were...okay nevermind. You need to stop drinking...maybe drink some water-"
"I don't want water," Nico whispered into Leo's ear, "I want you."
Leo couldn't help the shiver that ran down his spine.
"You're extremely drunk. You need-"
"Do you know what happens when you tell someone 'I need to show you something upstairs'?" Nico asked, rolling his eyes. "You're so dense."
"Well, I mean, I just-"
Nico kissed Leo again. The slightly taller boy pushed him away lightly.
"Nico...please."
"What? Do you not like me?"
"It's not that...you're drunk. I'm drunk. You won't remember anything."
"Excuses, excuses. I should've known better than to make advances on you," Nico pulled away, crossing his arms. He turned so Leo couldn't see his face.
"I've known you for what - eight days? I've known you for a week, Nico. You-"
"Can't possibly like you already?"
"Well...no. But I mean-"
"Whatever. I don't care. I should've known better-"
"Don't be like that. I just don't think it's right to do anything when neither of us might remember it," Leo explained, sighing.
This was too much for the poor boy.
"I..." Nico fiddled with the edge of his Aviator's jacket sleeve. "Sorry. I shouldn't have-"
"It's fine, Nico."
"So I can do it again?" Nico asked hopefully, staring up at Leo.
• Leo •
Leo's eyes shifted back and forth between Nico's. The hope in the smaller boys eyes was too much to say no to.
"I hope you don't remember any of this," Leo muttered. "Go ahead."
Nico grinned and leaned up, pressing his lips to Leo's, grabbing the front of his shirt and pulling him closer.
Leo silently plead in his head, 'Please don't remember. Please don't remember.' Because even though he was kind of enjoying this, it was way too soon. He hasn't even known Nico for that long.
It kind of reminded him of Calypso, his ex-girlfriend-
Let's not think about that.
Nico pulled away.
"If you're not gonna kiss me back-" Nico started, but Leo cut him off.
"No, I just got distracted. Sorry."
"It's fine."
This time, Leo took it upon himself to lean in and kiss Nico. It was shy, their lips barely touching. Leo wasn't used to this kind of thing.
Kissing boys and all.
Nico leaned up more, pressing his lips harder against Leo's.
What am I doing? What am I doing? Leo thought. Nico probably felt Leo's tension, because he said, "Just relax."
Just focus on Nico...
Leo cupped Nico's face, bringing the tiny Italian closer and moving his lips softly.
"I kind of like you," Nico whispered against Leo's lips.
"I kinda like you too," Leo muttered, moving his hands to Nico's hips and pulling their bodies closer as they continued to kiss - make out, rather.
Leo pulled away, staring down at Nico, who looked too peaceful to even bother. His eyes were closed, his face relaxed, taking away the angry scowl Nico usually wore. It was nice...
Leo's eyes scanned over Nico's face, memorizing how...beautiful he looked. Then again, everyone looks great when you're drunk.
Downstairs, some song played, something about a backseat serenade, and Leo felt the sudden desire to make out with Nico until his was breathless and his lips were sore.
No. Keep yourself together, he said to himself in his head.
Nico opened his dark eyes, noticing Leo was already staring at him.
"Enjoying the view?"
"Shut up, di Angelo."
"Make me, Valdez."
So Leo took it upon himself to do what Nico said, bringing their lips together again. Leo wouldn't go too far, but as of right now, he wanted nothing more than to kiss Nico until his lungs burned. So that's just what he did.
