Leo crashed his lips to Nico's.

The smaller boy was surprised, to say at the least, but he kissed Leo back and leaned forward more.

They kissed for a little while longer before Nico pulled away.

Leo's eyes widened as he realized what he did.

"Oh...I um..." Leo turned away, his cheeks turning a bright red. "I'm sorry, I just-"

"Leo, it's fine." Nico laughed. Leo sighed.

"Yeah, well...I mean...did you like it? Was it good-"

"It was great, Leo," Nico cut him off. "Now, will you calm down?"

"Sorry."

"It's fine-"

Nico's phone rang, playing "Centuries" from Fall Out Boy. He answered it almost immediately.

"Hey Hazel...what?! You've got to be kidding me! Are you serious?!" Nico paused. He looked really angry. "Are you sure?! It was him?!...Ethan told me about it...Ethan...Ethan Nakamura...anyway, I didn't know Jason...You're one hundred percent serious?...okay. Yeah, thanks Hazel....I'll be home later...yeah love you too...bye." Nico hung up and put his phone in his back pocket, before turning to Leo. "Jason's spreading the rumor too."

"What rumor?"

"The rumor of us in the bathroom."

Leo didn't know what to say...Jason was helping spread the rumors. But...Jason had been nothing but nice to them...why was he doing this?

"Why would he-"

"I don't even know. But..." Nico trailed off. "If the teachers find out, they'll call our parents...this could turn into a big mess."

"Yeah...but let's not think about it until tomorrow," Leo said, standing up. "C'mon, let's go to my house."

"Okay."

They crawled out of the cave and walked out of the forest.

Their hands brushed a few times and Leo really wanted to grab his hand, but...would that be weird? Yes. That would be weird. But they kissed-

Leo grabbed Nico's had before pulling away.

"Sorry, I just-"

"Shut up, Valdez," Nico cut him off and grabbed his hand, lacing their fingers together. Leo felt himself smile and blush, before he turned and started leading the way to his house.

"Wanna stay at my house for dinner? I'm sure my dad won't mind."

Nico's eyes glazed over. He didn't respond.

"Nico, you okay?"

"What? Oh, yeah. I was just...thinking. Yeah, I'd love to stay."

"Great."

Leo stopped in front of his house, fidgeting nervously.

"You okay?" Nico asked, squeezing Leo's hand gently to remind him that he was still there.

"Yeah...but, my dads a little...you'll see."

Leo opened the door and walked in.

• Nico •

Leo's house wasn't special, but it was nice and tidy, with blueprints on the walls and crazy machines on shelves.

"It's not much-"

"Shut up. It's got a homey feel."

Leo smiled and started walking into the living room.

"Leo, you're finally home! There's left over Chinese food-"
