22 Years Later

Delta Dawn: Twenty-two years ago today, Mayor Courtney Dawn made us safe... and now every Country Troll is free to be happy and live in peace.

(The children applauded)

Child #1: And that's why we do a hoedown every hour.

Delta Dawn: Yep.

Child #2: I wish it was every half hour.

Delta Dawn: So do I. But that wouldn't leave much time for singin' and hoedowns, now would it?

Child #3: Miss Delta, do the Scorpions still want to eat us?

Delta Dawn: You bet!

Kids: [gasp]

Delta Dawn: But just because it's the only way they'll ever be happy.

Child #3: Isn't there anything else to make them happy?

Child #1: What about havin' birthday parties?

Child #2: Or slumber parties?

Clampers Buttonwillow: Or starin' at your parents while they sleep.

(They cringe)

Child #1: But I don't want to be food.

Delta Dawn: Don't worry. No Troll ever will be. And that's why we're celebratin' with the biggest hoedown ever. Everybody's gonna be there.

Clampers Buttonwillow: Everybody?

Delta Dawn: Everybody. [she pulls out her banjo and starts her morning song. When she gets her banjo out, she creates a beat with her hooves]

I was ridin' shotgun with my hair undone

In the desert of my home

I've got a howdy good spirt at the town

And my heart is bouncin' high

I look around, greet all the neighbors

And say, "Y'all, let's have a happy-go-lucky day"

And they say, "YEE-HAW!"
