With her friends safely hidden,
Future Mayor Delta set off to rescue her other friends...
Confident she'd make it to Scorpion Town her own.
(An illustrated Delta follows the Scorpion's tracks and bumps into a Scorpion who scoops her up)
Convinced she'd make it to Scorpion Town on her own
(An illustrated Delta gets eaten by a Scorpion)
Delta Dawn: [faces the trail ahead and looks uneasy] Totally sure she'd make it to Scorpion Town. Hmm...
It's strange to think 'bout the songs we used to sing
The smiles, the sunshine, everything is gone
Yesterday I found out about you
Even now just lookin' at you feels wrong
You say that you'd take it all back
Given one chance; it was a moment of weakness
And you said "Yes"
(Delta walks along she pauses as she watches a cute critter scurry past her only to get eaten by many predators, the last predator stares at Delta who slowly backs away and takes off)
You should've said "No"
You should've gone home
You should've thought twice 'fore you let it all go
You should've known that word like what you did with her
Get back to me (get back to me)
And I should've been there in the back of your mind
I shouldn't been askin' myself, "Why?"
You shouldn't be beggin' for forgiveness at my hooves
(Delta stops to rest for a bit only to be chased by a snake)
You should've said "No"
Honey, and you might still have me
You can see that I've been cryin'
Honey, you know all the right things to say
But do you, honestly expect me to believe
We could ever be the same?
You say that the past is the past
You need one chance; it was a moment of weakness
And you said "Yes"
You should've said "No"
You should've gone home
You should've thought twice 'fore you let it all go
You should've known that word like what you did with her
Get back to me (get back to me)
(Delta escapes but is swallowed by a bird who lays a egg which belta break out of with her hind hooves)
And I should've been there in the back of your mind
I should'n't be askin' myself, "Why?"
(She escapes the hungry bird babies and runs)
You shouldn't be beggin' for forgiveness at my hooves
You should've said "No"
Honey, and you might still have me
(As she sings she travels through many fields in different kinds of weather)
I can't resist
Before you go, tell me this
Was it worth it? Was she worth this?
(She gets eaten again later she escapes and rests leaning against a predators tongue)
No, no
(Luckily she uses her laso to swing herself to safety and avoids getting eaten)
No, no, no, no
(She continues on her journy although she looks roughed up with some of her hair that is messy and some dirt is smeared on her)
(After a while Delta sees a berry and eats it, and a bull is on top of her and it helps her proceed on her journey)
You should've said "No"
You should've gone home
You should've thought twice 'fore you let it all go
You should've known that word like what you did with her
Get back to me (get back to me)
And I should've been there in the back of your mind
I shouldn't be askin' myself, "Why?"
(She crashed into the thicket getting tangled up in vines. She pants hard and her eyes start to close from exhaustion)
You shouldn't be beggin' for forgiveness at my hooves
You should've said "No"
Honey, and you might still have me
(Delta's eyes close and passes out)
