[PART I ] Chapter 1 Busan high

[Jimin's Point of view]

"Are you nervous?" Tae asked with his eyes on the road ahead as the country side passed by the windows. He was driving the car and I was in the passenger seat, simply looking out of the window.

"Not really.." I chuckled turning my head to him

"Then what are you thinking," he asked.

"Just wondering what sort of things are in store for me this year. You know I'm joining school in the middle of the year. So, don't know what people are gonna think," I voiced my thoughts.

Tae tilted his face a little to me and smiled. "Chim, I'm sure you'll have a nice year ahead. We'll enjoy a lot together." I just nodded and smiled in reply. I really hope I have a nice year.

Well, before we move on, let me tell a little about me. My name is Park Jimin. I'm called Jiminie, Chim etc by my close ones. Tae calls me a lot of other nick names. By the way, Tae is my cousin brother, that is my Mother's brother's Son. But he is just like my own brother and we are best friends. We are both 17 years old and I'm a bit older than him.

My home is in Seoul and I arrived here in Busan yesterday. Dad is a Retail manager at a company and Mom is a doctor. I'm their only son and now they practically send me away from home. Because I got into a lot of trouble in my previous school in Seoul. Not only that, my grades were a bit too poor. Yay! So, here my lovely Cousin Taehyung is the top student and my parents thought it would be a good idea to send me here and make me attend the rest of the two years of high school along with him. So that maybe Tae can influence me and I'll finally become a goody two shoes like him. But I know me better.

Anyway I agreed to their decision. Because first of all I couldn't by any means stay at my previous school. I messed up with the wrong people and it was even dangerous for my life to continue there. Just kidding, it wasn't dangerous for my life or anything. Anyway, secondly Tae's Mom is a great cook. No wonder, she actually runs a cafe. Let me say openly, my Mom's cooking skills sucks. Tae's Dad, my Uncle is a lawyer by the way. Thirdly I'm just happy to attend school with Tae. You know, at home I'm alone and I sometimes really hate being alone. I hope here I can chill with Tae, like he said. So, right now we both are on our way to high school. And we both are in grade 11.

Suddenly a question popped in my head. And I quickly voiced it out. "Tae, are you popular in school ?"

"uhm...not really," he hummed.

"You aren't?" I asked knitting my eyebrows. He might be really popular. I mean he is extremely handsome, the top student and he is also in the basketball team. Or is he still that nerd from middle school? Yeah, our Tae was a typical nerd when he was in middle school and he used to get bullied a lot. He even changed schools during 8th grade. But he said it changed after he joined the new middle school and got selection in the basketball team.

"Yeah. I'm not that popular," he repeated, leaving a sigh. "But I have a few friends to whom I can introduce you."

"Well Tae, why don't you have a girlfriend yet ?" I asked.

"C'mon Chim, I've told you I hate the relationship thing," Taehyung replied.

"So that means you gets hooked up a lot," I smirked. He rolled his eyes. I just said it to tease him. I actually know he is a virgin and he isn't into such stuff. And I even doubt he is into girls. Maybe I can make him come out to me soon.

"So, what about you?" he asked.

"I haven't come across the right person yet. I'm waiting. Let's see if I can meet them here," I replied.
