Lanielle POV
Lanielle this! Lanielle that! The pressure is too much. Since my parents were convinced that I was growing older, my parents wanted me to get married and settle down. And they weren't mates. So they didn't believe much in the mate bond while I did. Well that was in the past. Now, I don't believe in it much as well. We are able to tell our mates from age 16. And what was I now? 25? I have been hurt so many times and been in a relationship with a 2 human, 2 wolf. And now I am done. ...Or not.

"It is really getting frustrating for me." I complained.
"You know they are just doing this because they love you."
"It will be your turn soon. See if you understand when they mount pressure on you too. By then I will be out of the house and you will have to complain to the wall."
"Meanie! Meanie!"
"Can't we just tell them we don't want to be like them."
"And risk sleeping outside? No thank you."
I do admit at first I was desperate to start a family. But when they both very early relationships didn't work out. I gave up.
....
The next day...
"Sonia get up!"
"Soniaaaa!!!"
"It's just 5 am." She said grumbling.
"Not my fault you are such a sleepy head."
I always went for jogging in the morning and we'll evening. I used to be crazy about sports in school and used to train a lot.

"Sonia let's go."

The dawn air was so fresh. Running as the wind was blowing through my hair.
"Sonia, hurry up!" I said.
Somehow she always struggles to catch up.

Sonia POV
"Sonia, hurry up!"
Sonia hurry up. I mimicked.
"Sonia, I heard that!" She answered.
I edged on. Hoping to return home to my sweet sweet bed.
Just then a pebble was in my way and I tripped. Just before my head hit the stone, a handsome stranger caught me.
"Wow there! Careful!"
"You must be Ronald."
"How did you know? It was a secret."
"You see Lanielle, I told you it worked."

Lanielle POV
I can't believe it. Sonia just turned 17 and yet she met her mate. Looks at that. And to think she didn't want to go for the jogging. I felt a pang of jealousy. Don't get me wrong at all. I am very happy for her.
Thankfully she didn't go through the pressure I did.

......
Janet was my best friend. We did a guessing game. This is the same game I played with Sonia and she got hers.
"What was the letter it landed on?"
"The letter 'T' "
"Tyler!!!!"
"Your mate will be called Tyler. How cute!"

Now it was my turn
"What was the letter it landed on?" She asked.
"The letter 'S' "
"What is first name that comes to your mind with the letter S?"
"Sebastian! Yes, exactly!"
"That's a beautiful name!"
"I have always liked that name." I continued spawning over it.
But as I looked at Janet...
"Janet what's wrong?"
"Can we swap names?"
"No, we can't of course not."

"Lanielle we are home!"
"Come give daddy a hug!"
I heard my dad say..
"Daddy!" I said as I run to him.
I liked him more than mum. He gave less pressure and understood me more.
"Lanielle, I saw this fine young man."
"Not again. Enough mum! Please! I have had it! I am fed up. Fed up!"
