Chapter 5

When he got there he got a key to his dorm and a welcome back.

"Mr. Crusher." Brand said.

He immediately went into attention.

"Yes sir?"

"At ease. And it's good to see you again. Captain Picard said you kept your combadge on because the Enterprise has been needing help."

"Yes sir."

"Alright. When you get called you're welcome to go back to the Enterprise and help."

"Thank you sir."

"I'm a little surprised you put your Academy uniform on and didn't keep your Starfleet uniform on."

That got him a little confused.

"Did you want me to? I thought that since I'm back at the Academy I should wear my uniform."

"I wouldn't mind you wearing your Starfleet uniform to show them what can happen if they work hard."

"I have it in my closet at my quarters on the Enterprise."

"Well I want you to go back and put it on."

That shocked him but nodded.

"Yes sir. Let me go to my dorm and unpack and then I'll get them."

She nodded smiling and Wesley headed to his dorm and unpacked.

"This will be interesting. Why would they want me to wear my Starfleet uniform and not Academy uniform?"

Then he shook his head, put his hand on the combadge and was gone.

When he got back on the Enterprise everyone jumped.

"Wesley?" Riker said surprised.

"I have to get changed. I bumped into admiral Brand and she wants me in my Starfleet uniform and not my Academy uniform." he said.

Everyone looked at him confused and shocked.

"I don't know." he said hands out in defense.

Then he headed to his quarters and got changed.

When he got back to the transport room he said good bye again and was gone.

When he got back to the Academy admiral Brand stood there smiling and nodded.

"That's better. Now head to your dorm and I'll see you tomorrow."

He nodded and then headed to his dorm.

While he headed to his dorm people looked at him and stand up in attention when they see him. Every time that happened he would say at ease and tell them he's a student not a professor.

He turned left trying to hide then bumped into someone.

"Sorry I-" the person said then immediately got into attention.

Wesley sighed.

"At ease and I'm not a professor or anything. I just have this uniform on because admiral Brand wants me to after being an ensign for six years." he said and headed to his dorm.

The next few weeks went by and he was used to the attention he gets from people and ignored it.

They would go into attention when they see him because he has a Starfleet uniform on and is older than others. He would say at ease every time and gave up on telling them to stop.

Admiral Brand had told him she was hoping it would happen so they could learn things. It annoyed him but he listened to her and let it continue.

He was at a class right now when he heard something.
