Enjoy~
Just as Nekomata hoped for, the two days flew by, the date landing on Friday.
"Enjoy your trip with the volleyball team, (L/n)," Your teacher gave you a smile as you left the classroom.
Roadtrip! Roadtrip! Pandora chanted.
You returned the smile, before walking to your locker where two males were waiting.
"Kuroo, Kenma," You greeted opening your locker to put away your books and grab your bags.
Kenma just hummed, his fingers moving the controls for his switch. Kuroo stood behind you, arms crossed, "Incoming," He said quietly, causing Kenma's head to look up, his eyes watching a specific female walk by, making sure she didn't cause anything.
Attack her.
"Leave her be," You muttered, looking out of the corner of the corner of your eye, watching Misako walk by with a guy, "She's not going to start anything."
"I really don't like her," Kuroo grumbled as Kenma nodded in agreement.
You grabbed your bag and shut your locker, "Let's get going!"
You were excited, after hearing Tendou had joined The Eagles and that's who you were going to meet up with, you finally get to see your best friend after five years.
Kuroo and Kenma trailed after you. Kuroo's hands tucked in his pockets as Kenma still played on his switch.
You walked to the front of the school, seeing Nekomata and the rest of the team standing in front of the bus that you would be riding on.
"Okay, that's everyone," Nekomata spoke the moment his eyes landed on the three of you, "I hope you all have everything you'll need for the next two days."
The group nodded as Nekomata moved to the side, letting everyone on the bus.
"Kenma, can I sit with you?" You asked him as the two of you walked onto the bus.
Kenma nodded and walked towards the back of the bus, letting you have the window seat. You sat down, putting your bag in front of you as Kuroo took a seat in front of you, Lev next to him.
You reached down and grabbed your headphones. It was going to take a bit to get there, and in that bit, you could have a nap.
. . . .
"(Y/n), wake up."
You grumbled and slapped the hand of the person who tried to wake you. You heard them sigh, "Kuroo, you wake her up."
"Come on (Y/n), you can sleep later," Kuroo spoke, shaking you slightly, "The Eagles are waiting for us."
You let out a sigh as you opened your eyes, turning your head you were met with a smirking Kuroo, "Don't you want to see Tendou?"
At the sound of your best friends name, you quickly grabbed your bag and stood out of your seat. Kuroo moved out of the way as you rushed down the bus and out the doors.
"I'm glad we could meet, as you heard it's about (Y/n)," Nekomata spoke.
Your eyes settled on the boss who stood in front of Washijo. The smaller males hands intertwined behind his back, a tall male with dark olive-brown hair, matching olive eyes, a stoic expression on his face.
Washijo hummed as you walked towards them. "(Y/n)," He greeted you, "So, you decided to join Nekoma?"
You nodded, "The gangs closer to home after all, and I don't think I'm ready to move," You told him.
"(Y/n), this is Wakatoshi Ushijima," Washijo's voice was cold as always as he introduced the two of you, "Ushijima, this is (Y/n) (L/n)."
"It's nice to meet you Ushijima," You bowed. He was tall, way taller than you, and it was a little intimidating.
"Nice to meet you as well, (L/n)."
"Washijo, where's Tendou?" You asked, putting your backpack on your back.
Tendou! Can I please say hello!?
'We'll see Pandora.'
"He's in the gym," Washijo stated, "Ushijima, take her to the gym and gather the boys."
"Yes sir."
You followed after Ushijima in an uncomfortable silence, but neither of you knew how to start a conversation. But luckily for you, the gym wasn't far.
Your heart slammed against your rib cage in excitement, and a smile slowly made it's way onto your face as Ushijima walked into the gym, calling out for the team as volleyballs slammed against the floor.
"Coach wants us at the gang house," Ushijima stated bluntly, catching a ball that flew through the air, "So clean up."
Your eyes trailed through the team, searching for your red haired friend, biting your lip.
"(Y/n)?"
Your eyes landed on Tendou who took a step forward with parted lips, red eyes wide. You rushed forward, dropping your bag on the ground as you jumped up. Tendou caught you, immediately pulling you close to him as you wrapped your legs around his torso, shoving your face into the crook of his neck. He hummed as he nuzzled your hair, one arm was on your lower back, the other tangled in your hair.
You could feel the teams eyes on the two of you, but you ignored them, focusing on your best friend.
"Tendou," You whispered, feeling your lower lip tremble, holding back your tears, "They're gone."
"Who (N/n)?" He asked quietly, moving to look down at you. You moved your head, looking up at him as he slowly placed you on the ground, "Who's gone?"
"My mother, Akira, Meiko," You replied, shaking your head slightly. "He killed them."
Tendou gritted his teeth, his eye twitching before furrowing his eyebrows, his grip on you tightened as he glared at the floor. "What made him decide to come back? Just to kill them?"
"He wants to use me because of the stage. As in, Pandora." You told him quietly, not wanting anyone to hear about it just yet.
"Is this what this whole meeting is about?" Tendou asked, letting go of you to bend down and grab one of the volleyballs off the ground, tossing it into a basket before walking over to the bench with you following close behind.
"Yeah," You sighed as he grabbed his water bottle, turning back to you. "Did you know my mother knew Nekomata?"
"Seriously?" Tendou tilted his head back, drinking his water.
"I have so much to tell you," You chuckled, wiping your eyes with the palm of your hands.
"Damn right you do," Tendou gave you a smile, before wrapping an arm around your shoulders, a sigh escaping his lips, "We better get to the house."
