"Daddy! Help me!"

You always relied on him. He was always there.

"Push the brakes (Y/n)! They're on the handles!"

"I'm scared!"

He was always there when you needed him, when you needed someone to talk to about your anger. And he was the one who had always told you to let it out.

"It'll be alright, flower! I'll be right there to catch you!"

You let out a yelp as you slammed on the brakes, the bike jolting you forward, sending you through the air. A scream escaped your lips as you clenched your eyes shut, thinking you were going to slam against the ground. But instead, you landed in your father's arms, his chest rumbling as he chuckled.

Your eyes peeled open, looking up at him. He gave you a smile and brushed your hair, "I told you I'd be right here."

You thought he'd always be there for you. Because when you needed someone, he was there.

You sniffled as you pulled your knees close to your chest, sitting on your bed as you cried. Your first day of school didn't go as you hoped. A little girl named Misako picked on you for most of the day.

"Flower, what's wrong?"

Your head left your knees as you looked up at your father with your bottom lip trembling, glossy eyes, "I had a bad day," You told him, your voice cracking, "There's this girl and she was being rude to me all day."

Your father frowned as a sigh left his lips. He sat down on your bed and pulled you into a hug, "The world is cruel, (Y/n). But those people who pick on us, make us stronger. Don't let her bring you down, show her who's stronger. Show her how strong you are."

What changed? What happened to him? What made him leave? Why didn't he tell your mother anything?

You didn't realize you were crying until a tear dripped onto your hand, another splashing on the paper you held tightly.

A number was on the bottom of the paper. You stared at it before ripping the paper so you had only the phone number. You glanced outside again, seeing Nekomata outside, arms crossed as he watched the game in front of him.

You couldn't stay here. You had put them in way to much danger, and now, you were about to get them killed.

But if you left, just like you left them.

You were frustrated, confused, lost, and scared.

"The world is a cruel place," You told yourself, wiping your eyes, "And sometimes, in order to survive, you need to be as cruel as the world."

You took in a breath, before getting off of your bed. With everyone out in the backyard, watching the game, you could easily leave the house.

And you didn't bring your phone with you.

Kuroo's hands rested on his hips as he tried to catch his breath, his lungs burning as he panted.

"Can we stop now?" Kenma complained, wiping his forehead, "We played like five games."

Kuroo nodded, grabbing his water bottle he tossed to the side, "We're done." He opened the bottle, chugging the water as Kenma collapsed on the ground. Kuroo poked the setter with his foot, teasing the male.

Kenma just lied on the ground, lazily slapping Kuroo's foot. But Kuroo chuckled and leaned down to poke Kenma's cheek, scolding him for not getting more exercise and eating nutritious foods. With a sigh, Kenma looked up at him, wanting nothing more than getting Kuroo to leave him alone, "Where's (Y/n)? I haven't seen her for a few hours." Kenma watched his childhood friend freeze at your name, his lips curling upwards. Feeling a little mischievous, Kenma continued, "Maybe she's talking to that guy from earlier."
