It's been a few weeks since your sleepover. You're with your friends at Thunder Burger. You and Denki are in deep conversation. Boruto and Mitsuki are playing a game together. Sarada and ChoCho are gossiping and Inojin and Shikadai are playing rock paper scissors.
"Oi Shikadai stop using your jutsu. We keep drawing." Inojin complained
"Alright alright you caught me" Shikadai chuckled. Boruto then peels away from his game with Mitsuki and turns to you.
"So Kazuma are you ready for the Moon Festival?" He asked
"Moon...Festival?" You asked
"I guess we can't dismiss the fact that you aren't really from here"Sarada added
"The moon festival is a night festival held on the 3rd full moon of the year. There are tons of activities planned like food stalls, game booths, competitions and stuff like that" Shikadai explained
"That sounds like fun. I'll think about going" You replied.
So you and you're friends left Thunder Burger and went your separate ways, leaving you and Denki on the way home
" Soo what do you think about the festival" Denki asked
"It really sounds amazing but I don't know if it's for me..." You said
"What if I went with you?"Denki asked
"As my date?" You asked. Denki's face flushed a deep shade of red.
"Whaaa.... N-No I meant as you're guide. Although I wouldn't mind being your date either"Denki said quietly
"Hahaha you're adorable when you're embarrassed" You giggled
"You're so mean " Denki pouted
"So Denki..." You asked
"Yeah?"
"Will you go with me to the Moon Festival?"
"Of course Kazuma." Denki replied and kissed your cheek.
"This is my stop. See ya" Denki waved. You waved back and headed home....
(Time Skip)
It's the day of the festival. Due to the event, all Chunin and Genin missions were suspended.You wear the clothes you bought for this specific occasion until your phone starts ringing.You pick it up and hear Denki's voice
"Hey ummm Kazuma...?" Denki asked
"What's up? Why do you sound so soft?"
"I'm just saying that I might be a little late for the festival. Go on ahead with the others and I'll catch up."
"Sure thing. You sure you're ok? There's nothing wrong is there?" You asked
"Ohh I'm fine I'm just dealing with something that's taking longer than expected. See you at the festival!" Denki hangs up.
"Well that was weird." You thought.
Hours passed until the official start of the festival. You meet with your friends at the gate to the venue.
"Hey Kazuma. Looking good" Boruto complimented
"I like your colour scheme" Mitsuki added
"So I guess that's all... Wait where's Denki?" Shikadai asked
"Oh he said he'll be a bit late" You replied
"I guess we'll head in first then" Boruto said as you wake into the festival
An hour passed after you had entered the festival and you began to get worried.
"Where's Denki?" You thought as you pulled out your phone to call him. The phone rang until you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turn around and your eyes widen
Denki was dressed in a blue and white kimono and his hair was tied in twin buns that sat on the top of his head. His bangs drooping down to his shoulder. You looked away to hide the intense blush on your face
"K-Kazuma?" Denkis voice shook
"I'm sorry. You look really nice." You said as you turned back to him
"Thanks the hair took quite a while to fix"Denki added
"Well shall we?" You extended your hand to him
He took it with a smile and the two of you walked in hand in hand.
Another hour passed with Denki and the Festival was rounding to a close.
"Ohhh" Denki groaned
"What's up?" You asked
"I'm kinda hungry" Denki replied
"Wait here. I'll go get us something" You said as you ran off to the nearest stall
You return in a few minutes to see Denki surrounded by several guys.
"Hey there pretty thing. What do you say we go somewhere private, just the two of us" One of them said
"Sorry but this one's coming with me tonight" Another one said
They both reached for Denki's hand and started pulling him
"Hey! Hands off!" You yelled, separating Denki and his offenders
"Who the hell are you?"One of them asked
"I happen to be his boyfriend,so back off before I get mad" You replied
"Did I hear that right? You said 'his' boyfriend?" They asked
"You're telling me that this cutie is a dude? And you two are together?" The other one asked
"What about it?" You sternly replied
The two of them burst out laughing.
"I can't believe a guy had the audacity to show up looking like that at a festival." One yelled
"I know right. I can't imagine how embarrassed I'd be if he was my son" The other chuckled
"Honestly Why'd you even come to the f-" One of them was interrupted by a punch to the face
"SHUT UP. JUST SHUT UP ALREADY. HES DOING WHAT HE WANTS TO AND YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO STOP HIM. YOU PIECES OF SHIT DISGUST ME. GET OUT OF MY FACE BEFORE I DECIDE TO GET SERIOUS" You yelled, completely enraged
The two of them scrambled to their feet and ran away. You calm down and look around to see you've attracted quite a crowd and Denki's gone deathly quiet.
"D-Denki...?" You whispered
Denki grabs hold of your hand and runs out of sight with you in tow
Denki brings you to the top of a hill. You put your hands on his shoulders,"Denki, look at me." You get no reply.
"Denki please say somet-" You're interrupted by soft sobs. Tears stream off his face
"I'm sorry Kazuma. You had to deal with them and I couldn't do anything..." Denki said softly
"Don't apologize. They said hurtful things about the person I love. I'd defend you anyday plus I like your look today, it's adorable" You smiled.
Denki's face lit up and he smiled. He hugged you and buried his face in your chest
"You make me so happy. I love you" Denki said
You kissed his forehead and replied ," I love you too"
The two of you spent the night gazing at the stars...
