The present and day

When he got to Angel Island he saw Knuckles punch a Swatbot and Tails get another with the X Tornado.

"CHAOS SPERE!" he yelled and got one.

"Ah, Shadow. I knew you would be here soon." Eggman said.

Shadow rolled his eyes.

"Of course I'd be here doctor. I'm here every time!" he said and kicked another one.

"Now tell us what you want with the Master Emerald." Knuckles said.

"Someone is grumpy." Eggman said.

"Would you just tell us?" Tails said.

"Looks like neither of you is in a good mood today. Is it because this is the day you lost Sonic four years ago?"

They all froze for a second.

Then they came back and got back to work.

While they fought they had a little trouble focusing now.

Every year they'll have a ceremony in respect of Sonic.

It was also a day Shadow goes looking for Sonic.

When they were done Shadow looked at Eggman.

"You stop doing this on this day or you'll wish you never started. Do you understand doctor?" he said.

Eggman was a little surprised at what he just heard.

He nodded and was gone.

Tails and Knuckles looked at him.

Then he looked at the seven Chaos Emeralds then Knuckles who nodded.

"I'll be back." he said then shut his eyes and transformed into Super Shadow.

A few seconds later he was in space looking around.

"Come on Faker, where are you?" he muttered.

While he went around he looked for a certain star like he always does.

Two hours had gone by and he still hadn't found him.

He sighed.

"Where are you?" he whispered.

He kept looking around when he heard something.

"Knuckles to Shadow." Knuckles said.

"Shadow here." he said.

"You have to come back. It's almost time for the yearly ceremony."

"OK. Be there in a minute."

"OK."

Then they stopped and Shadow stayed put for a minute.

"I'll be back tomorrow Sonic, don't worry." he said and was gone.

When he was back home he transformed back into plain Shadow and headed to Sonic's house.

As usual Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Cheese, Rouge, Blaze, Silver and plenty of other people were there.

Shadow, Tails and Knuckles got their usual thank you after fighting Eggman earlier.

Shadow would get his thank you for fighting with Sonic, along with a thank you from them all for fighting him.

Along with Amy, Cream, Cheese and Rouge after joining them.

Even after Shadow taking Sonic's place they still call them Team Sonic.

They sat there and talked to their friends.

A few hours later they split up and went to bed.

The current Team Sonic had a lot of trouble falling asleep every time.
