Fifteen days has passed as Yoriichi waited for his nichirin blade to arrive.
Yoriichi went outside of the house to pick a flower so he could give it to you. He noticed an incoming figure with a sunflower-patterned robe and a large, woven hat with hanging floral wind chimes. The figure's face was concealed with a 'Hyottoko' mask as he carried a large bag on his back. The figure stopped in front of Yoriichi as they both had a stare off.
"My name is Haganezuka. I have forged Yoriichi Tsugikuni's sword and I am here to deliver it." Haganezuka informed as Yoriichi opened the door to the house. "I'm Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Please come-" Yoriichi was cut off when Haganezuka suddenly sat on the ground.
"This is your Nichirin Blade. I'm the one that forged it." Haganezuka announced as he removed the cloth, showing Yoriichi the sword. Yoriichi had a blank look on his face as he watched the strange man ramble on.
"The materials for a Nichirin Blade can be obtained from the mountain closest to the sun. Scarlet Crimson Iron Sand and Scarlet Crimson Ore. They're used to produce steel that absorbs sunlight." Haganezuka explained.
"I see..." Yoriichi replied. "Mt. Youkou is bathed in sunlight all day long, you see..." Haganezuka added.
You peeked out of the room you were hiding and saw the strange masked man rambling on and on as your father nodded along. "There he goes again. Never listening to a single word of what others say...." Urokodaki muttered beside you as you looked at him and tilted your head in confusion.
You held the blanket in your arms and wrapped it around yourself. You rolled around on the ground in your burrito blanket as you waited for your father to finish and play with you.
Yoriichi sat in front of Urokodaki and Haganezuka, his nichirin sword in hand. It had a yellowish gold hand guard while the scabbard was colored black. Yoriichi slowly unsheathed his blade and held it up so everyone can see.
You took a peek outside from your blanket and watched as your father's blade turned into the color red. "I-it's..." Haganezuka stuttered as he pointed at the blade.
"Red." Urokodaki finished as the two males stared in shock at the blade.
"I can't believe it... Urokodaki pinch me for I must be dreaming!" Haganezuka exclaimed as Urokodaki crossed his arms.
"Pinch yourself." Urokodaki replied.
"It's red! Oh my goodness! Bless the heavens! It's red! I can't believe it!" Haganezuka yelled as he fell down.
You, Yoriichi and Urokodaki stared at the fallen male on the floor. "Is he alright?" Yoriichi asked as Urokodaki checked on Haganezuka.
"He'll be fine. He just fainted. He'll wake up soon." Urokodaki informed as Yoriichi nodded in reply.
A loud squawking sound was heard throughout the house as a crow landed on the window sill of Urokodaki's house.
"Caw! Yoriichi Tsugikuni! Head to a town to the northwest! Young girls have been disappearing! Caw!" the crow exclaimed as you looked at the bird with eyes full of curiosity.
"Every night, young girls have been vanishing. Hunt down the demon lurking there and kill it!" the crow explained.
"You should get ready." Urokodaki stated as Yoriichi nodded in reply.
"Can I not wear the uniform? It's hard to move around with it." Yoriichi asked as Urokodaki shook his head.
--------------------------
"Alright. We'll be going now, Urokodaki-san." Yoriichi announced as he picked up your tiny form and held you in his arms.
"Before you go. I want you to take this." Urokodaki said as he showed Yoriichi a large brownish box. You and Yoriichi tilted your heads to the side as you both looked at the strange box.
"This box is for you to carry your daughter during the day. It's built out of an extremely light wood called 'Cloud Mist Pine'. I coated it with rock lacquer to reinforce its exterior and to make it even more durable." Urokodaki informed as Yoriichi looked at the box in awe.
Urokodaki handed the box to Yoriichi. Yoriichi took the box and his eyes widened when he held the box. "It's really weightless. Thank you, Urokodaki-san." Yoriichi said as he placed the box down in front of you.
You looked up at Yoriichi and watched as he opened the box. "The box will allow me to move around in the sun with you in it. Can you climb in?" Yoriichi asked as he patted your head.
You let out a hum and climbed inside the box. Yoriichi watched as you adjusted yourself in a more comfortable position.
You looked up at your father and gave him a close eyed smile, making Yoriichi return it with a warm smile. "We'll always be together from now on, okay?" Yoriichi reassured as he watched you slowly close your eyes and fall into slumber.
'My little sun is so....cute.' Yoriichi thought as he looked at your tiny form.
Yoriichi gently closed the box and wore the straps that were attached to it. He then turned to look at Urokodaki and nodded.
"We'll be off." Yoriichi stated as Urokodaki nodded in reply. "Be safe. Both you and your daughter." Urokodaki said as he followed Yoriichi out of the house.
"Of course." Yoriichi replied as he gave Urokodaki a bow and began to head towards the mission. Yoriichi looked back and waved goodbye to Urokodaki.
Yoriichi looked over at the box on his back and held the straps. "Let's go, (Y/N)." Yoriichi announced as he continued on his way.
