Gone Crazy

The car drove for what felt like hours, and Zack felt that he would be stiff with pain. Where did they plan on taking him? What were they going to do to him? All these thoughts ran through his mind.

His stomach was hurting and his head was throbbing, inside of the trunk was hot and he could smell his own sweat. He started to think about his mother and wondered if she had tried calling him.

His backpack had been lost during the scuffle with Angelo and so his phone was probably lying somewhere. He couldn't move, least of all fight. And he doubted that he could get far since Blaze and Angelo were on the football team.

Suddenly the car stopped and Zack was thrown back, he winced and closed his eyes. Trying his hardest to look like he had fallen asleep.

Both doors were opened and he heard both Angelo and Blaze make their way to the trunk. It was completely quiet and so all he heard was his pounding heart. Maybe even Angelo and Blaze heard his heart and were laughing at his cowardice.

The trunk opened and he was blinded by a light that immediately shone in his eyes. "Get up."

Before he could even move his legs, Zack was roughly pulled out of the trunk and onto the floor. He hit the dirt, and dug his fingers into the Earth inhaling the scent of grass, but before he could even come to his senses.

Again he was roughly dragged up, Blaze was standing in front of him. He had a flashlight in his hand and was aiming the beam of light at his face. Blinding him and making him feel as if he was in some sick game.

"Now listen here, we're gonna walk into the forest and play a little game." Blaze smirked and to Zack, it looked almost murderous.

"Why?" Zack's voice came out gruffly but he didn't bother saying anymore.

"Don't ask questions, you idiot! You think we'd actually tell you why?" Angelo scoffed and shoved him.

He stumbled but caught himself, now he started to notice his surroundings. It was pitch black, and the moon was hidden behind the trees. From what it looked like, they were already in the forest. So how much farther did they have to go in?

"Get moving!" Blaze pushed him, hard.

"O-okay..." Zack walked on and kept his eyes forward.

He made sure to look for places where he could run off to, but so far there wasn't a place where he would be able to lose them. So he kept walking, occasionally he would be shoved forward by one of them. Or insults would be hurled at him.

They walked for a while, they had walked across a river earlier and the water had gotten up to their waists. They passed trees and bushes and at one point Zack's pant leg got caught on one of the thorns.

He had to pull his leg free, which resulted in the pant leg getting ripped.  He had gotten cut from branches, he was cold and wet, and now his legs were shaking with each step he took. How much farther was he expected to go? He wondered to himself again.

Strangely Angelo and Blaze had stayed quiet the whole time after they had crossed the river. That was unusual for them and he was starting to expect something to happen, but when? He didn't know.

"Stop, and go stand near that tree."

Zack jumped but immediately went by the tree that had the flashlight beam pointed towards it. When he was standing near the tree, he was shoved up against it. Zack tried to scramble away, but his face was instantly pressed into it.

He felt his arms being bound behind his back with a coarse rope, the same had been done to his legs. Zack was pushed to the ground where he was then turned on his back so now he was staring up at the two guys above him, both held a cold expression.
