✧.* LOVERBOY ღ
Two days had gone by since you texted Jean. You were constantly checking your phone for his text. Although you could've just as easily sent a message yourself. You were kind of ashamed by how attached you were, but that was something you still couldn't deal with: Attachment issues. You tucked your phone inside your pocket and listened to Professor Hange as she explained Human Anatomy.
You looked out the window of the classroom and daydreamed about meeting Jean. You could've easily walked by him on campus without even knowing. You sighed and started scribbling on your paper as you tuned in and out of the lecture.
You met up with Mikasa in the parking lot after finishing all your classes, "Hey."
She was leaning against your car and looked up from her phone, "Hey loser."
You unlocked the car and you both got inside. It was almost the end of the spring semester so you had a couple of days until you were free from the burden of wasting your time going to classes. Mikasa turned the volume knob to the radio and she bobbed her head as the music got louder.
You were driving to one of your favorite diners and that was going to be your dinner for the day. You parked your car in front of the diner and stepped out. It was nostalgic since you hadn't been here since high school. You walked inside, the familiar smell filling in your nostrils.
You found an empty booth and sat across from Mikasa. It wasn't your first time here so you knew exactly what you wanted. Mikasa studied the menu in front of her. When she thought she found something she liked, she saw something else that interested her.
The waiter came over and asked for your drinks. You ordered your usual and Mikasa ordered a Coke. She returned with the drinks and came back to ask what food item you both wanted. As you both waited for your food to come, you gossiped about your "love lives".
She folded her hands on the table and leaned back into the seat, "So. Did you and Jean meet yet?"
"Ugh no. I had a lot of opportunities to see him."
"You idiot. Why didn't you do it?!"
You folded your arms onto the cold table and buried your face inside them, "I don't know! I think I'm just nervous. What if he doesn't like me? What if I don't meet his expectations or something?"
Mikasa scoffed and reached for your arm across the table. She squeezed on, "Then there's always someone else. Don't think about it too much. Just do it. I know you'll like him."
Mikasa was right, per usual. You'll never know what he thinks unless you actually meet him and get to know him. If the next opportunity stumbled upon you, you were going to jump at it.
You lifted yourself off the table and sighed, "You're right." Mikasa proudly lifted her shoulders and pursed her lips, "Hmm. I know."
You laughed and watched as the waiter came over to your booth with the hot food in hand. She put it on the table and you both dug in.
You drove back to your apartment building, just wanting to plop down on your bed. You kicked your shoes off at the door and Mikasa followed. You headed to your room but Mika stopped you, "Don't forget what I said Y/N! Also, thanks for dinner." and she walked past your room to get to hers.
You reached in your pocket and checked your phone. To your surprise, there was a text from Jean. Before you answered, you put on something to sleep in and sat on your bed, leaning against the headboard behind you.
