✧.* LOVERBOY ღ
After burning the eggs he prepared, Jean made a bowl of cereal for the two of you. Now that you were sober you got a better look of the kitchen that was combined in an open space with the living room and a small area for a table and two chairs. The table was placed next to a large window that overlooked the street. From there, you saw people doing their morning jog, and a couple arguing. It had red brick walls and wooden floors. You couldn't see much of it last night since it was late and you were too drunk to notice your surroundings.
Jean suddenly blurted out across the table while chewing, "So, tell me more about yourself."
You hesitated for a moment, "Um-." It was that question that always left you stuck. You hated it because you would immediately forget every single thing you knew about yourself. You looked up at the ceiling, "That was random."
"I know but we never really talk about ourselves through our texts and now I finally have you right in front of me. It's the perfect opportunity."
"Hmm. You're right."
You started off small, telling him things that really define your personality. After some time, you talked about stuff from your childhood. He listened, leaning back into the chair with his arms folded. Of course he added the occasional comments like, "Wow" or "You actually did that?!" The two of you talked about stuff you wouldn't have said over text. You noticed that you were mostly doing the talking and tried to get Jean to say more but he didn't budge.
Finally, you stopped, "Ok, I think I've said enough. It's your turn."
He stretched and stood up, grabbing the two empty bowls from the table, "Nah, maybe next time."
You scoffed since you basically told him a lot and he hadn't said much about himself, "What?! That's not fair!"
He walked to the kitchen and turned the faucet on to wash the dishes, "I never said I was going to do any talking." You walked into the kitchen and lightly shoved his back. He laughed and you helped dry the bowls, "Is there nothing interesting about you? Is that why you didn't say anything?"
"Nope."
"Then why won't you tell me?"
"How about you take me on a date and then you can get to know me more."
You stepped back a little as he started getting closer. He leaned down and put his hand on the counter as he tilted his head, "So, how about it?"
You bit your lip and looked down at the floor to avoid eye contact, "Maybe." He chuckled and grabbed the two bowls from the counter to put them away in the cupboard, "Maybe?"
"Yes, maybe."
You walked away to the bedroom, closing the door behind you, so that you could put on your clothes from last night. You folded the shirt he let you borrow and placed it on the dresser. When you opened the door, Jean was waiting outside, "Oh. You're finally finished."
You rolled your eyes and chuckled, "Oh please, I didn't even take that long. I left your shirt on the dresser."
"Awe, that's too bad. I was going to let you keep it. After all, it looked better on you."
You suddenly regretted taking it off as you watched him walk past you into the bedroom and grabbed a sweatshirt from one of the drawers. He looked over his shoulders to see your disappointed expression, "Why so down y/n?"
You shook your head, "I'm not 'down'. I'll wait for you by the door."
After a minute, he came out of the bedroom with his shoes on, "Ready to go?" You nodded and left the apartment.
