✧.* LOVERBOY ღ
Your mug was filled with your favorite tea, mint jasmine, on a rainy afternoon as you stared out of the window of the apartment. You were sitting in the chair with your knees brought to your chest as you listened to the cars drive through the rain. The dreary weather made up your current mood perfectly as this was how shitty you've felt the last few days.
Four days without any contact from Jean. He hasn't even come home to get a change of clothes and if he did, it was during the time you were sleeping or at work since that's how you decided to make yourself busy. You took the last sip of your tea and put the dish in the sink before leaving for work.
You drove in silence, eyeing your surroundings as you did and looked at the normal people living their normal lives. Something you took for granted before all of this.
You stopped at a red light and focused too long on the windshield wipers that you started getting fragments of the argument a few days ago. Thinking of all the things you could have done or said to change the outcome. It angered you but also saddened you.
You were brought to the present once you heard the constant bickering of cars honking behind you. You continued your drive to work and clocked in.

"Y/N. Y/N. Y/N!"
You blinked repeatedly then looked to your side at the freckled face girl trying to catch your attention, "Oh I'm so sorry, Ymir. What did you need?"
She sighed and crossed her arms, "You know I love you and all that but if you're 'gonna work I need you to actually work."
"Ugh, you're right. I'm sorry and I want to thank you for letting me come back earlier than I usually do. I needed this."
"Sure. Does this have anything to do with your loverboy and that foreign girl? You know the one with the French accent that you almost slapped?"
"No...do you know something that I don't?"
She hopped on one of the counters behind you and continued talking to you, "Well he was here with her a few days ago."
"He didn't tell me she was back in Paradis. What the fuck?" You shook your head and scoffed in disbelief. Why would he hide that from you?
"Uh, bad timing? Sorry, just forget I said anything."
The bell above the door went off, alerting you that a customer had come in but you ignored it and began to rant, "No, it's fine. I would rather find out from Jean but at least I know now. I don't know what to do or say to him anymore and it's not like he called or text. Of course I could do it but it's better to talk in person and it's not like I know where he is or if I'll even get a response if I call or text."
Ymir's eyes widened then left you and instead looked above your head, "Uh, Y/N?"
"Why are you looking like that?" You turned around and tilted your head slightly upward to see a familiar tall brunette silently standing at the register, awaiting for his presence to be acknowledged so he could order.
Ymir cleared her throat and hopped down from the counter, "I'll just- go restock in the back or something."
You glanced down at the touchpad register and started putting in an order, "I take it you want your usual?"
He just hummed as a response, "Mhm." You started working on it away from the register where he would normally follow and watch as you did it and say some corny pickup line that made you smile but decided against it this time around. You thought to yourself as you capped his drink, "So, we're doing the silent treatment? Got it."
