Indistinct muttering, uneasy footsteps, and chuckles filled the hallway of Virginia high. A typical scenario of students rushing to the class as it was almost the time before the final bell rang. But there was a lone figure standing by the locker, resting lazily, with legs crossed over, and eyes closed.

All in black, he looked like a fallen angel as he took a puff and blew the smoke into the air.

Many students, especially girls, stopped and stared for a second. They were captured by his beauty but none of them dared to approach him. They could not afford to offend this god.

He was none other than Kai, the infamous bad boy of the school.

It was in common knowledge that he disliked girls. He could not stand them, not even for a minute. Many had tried to go after him but he did not spare them even a single glance. Only last month, the cheerleader head, Ashley has declared her rights on him. When a daring student reporter has asked Kai if he knew about it, his reply has made headlines.

The post has gone viral and his blog has become the talk of the town for a whole lot of weeks. The title read- Ashley, Who? The Janitor!

These four words had ruined the glittery image of Ashley and crumbled her pride to dust. Previously, nobody dared to say anything to her even though she has made numerous girls cry because of their appearance. She has even glorified her deeds of snatching boyfriends for the reason that she has the looks.

Now all of her past triumphs have become nothing. When she passes by in the hallway she could even hear students snickering behind her back. She could do nothing but grind her teeth and leave with a huff.

Her present situation is because of Kai, but in reality, it is her own doing. If she has not blatantly declared her next conquest and tried to claim him, then she would still have the title of the hottest cheerleader of school.

Now her new label is a 'Wannabe Janitor'.

Since then girls have maintained an extra distance from Kai and only admired this dangerous beauty from afar.

With the last bell, the hallway became almost empty, but still Kai did not move. He was lost in his thoughts and did not see a figure rushing to the class.

But the figure saw him, his aloof figure was too outstanding to not notice, and moreover, nobody was in the hallway. Her footsteps haltered and then changed direction. She quickened her pace and then stopped in front of him. Raising her left hand she plucked the cigarette from his fingers and said lightly.

'Smoking is bad, you must take care of yourself.'

Kai was caught off guard and hence the cig was taken so easily from him. He was furious, who would dare to take something away from him. He opened his eyes to glare at the intruder.

But there was no one.

'Fuck! Where is the fu****?.' He cursed under his breath. He looked to his right and saw a slender girl walking away with his stick.

He saw as she put it out before she threw it in the bin. He took a step in her direction, ready to give that damn girl a piece of his mind. How dare she snatches away his stick! She was DONE! He won't hold back just because she is a girl.

Nobody messed with him.

But before Kai could say something the girl turned. She looked him straight in the eye and all of the profanities died at his lips. Words did not come out much less the insult.

His mind went blank.

Her lips were moving but he heard nothing. He was not aware of what she said as he was once again taken by surprise.
