Called Me by His Name

'Ris, What do ya think, is it this one?' Suzzie whispered as they queued to meet The Golden trio. She had a cute grey-colored kitten in her arms.

'I don't know, but for the sake of your date, I hope that it is this one, Suzz.'

They had found this furry creature with quiet ease.

It was actually Amaris who stumbled upon it. She had heard its soft mews when she passed by their basketball court. She was huddled under the fallen leaves. Amaris had a soft spot for these small helpless beings. She could not resist and then picked it up.

A moment later Suzzie has shown up and squealed in delight, as their worry was over now.

Initially, Amaris had not really wanted to hand the kitten over to Suzzie but in the end, she had to give up. Suzzie has her trapped in her honey-sweet words and by the time she realized the kitten was already in Suzzie's arms.

Thankfully, today, they had no lecture after the lunch break as their Calculus teacher was absent and they could go home after their lunchtime. Amaris had planned to go to the library to finish today's homework so she could help at the orphanage. But because of this stupid notice, she got dragged into Suzzie's scheme.

Amaris sighed and looked at the girls standing in front of them.

When they had found the Golden trio Amaris was amazed to see that there was actually a line! She still has not come to terms with this notion of kitten and date. But then she does not know them and maybe the kitten was really important to them.

If so, then she prayed that they would find their kitten soon enough. Hopefully, it will be among these as there are really a lot of them.

Amaris knew that if she has lost her pet then she would have been sad too. When this thought came to her mind this whole scenario started to make sense in her head, a little.

'Ahh, poor them. I hope they find their kitten.' Amaris mumbled under her breath.

'Ya said something?' Suzzie turned when she thought her friend was talking.

'It will be quite a while when our turn will arrive, want to hand the kitty over to me, I will hold it for a while.' Suzie contemplated for a second and then handed the kitty over. Her arms were starting to get numb.

Amaris very carefully took the kitty and then cooed at her when it raised its head to look at the new holder. The kitten then lazily nuzzled back into her embrace, seeing that kitten was well behaved Suzzie raised her brow.

That creature was not that docile when it was in her arms.

Amaris got what her friend wanted to say and laughed.

'It's because you scrubbed really hard.' Amaris teased.

Since the kitten was dirty they had to clean it. They got lucky with the cleaning supplies and conveniently borrowed the equipment for a while from the cleaning cabinet. They just hoped that meanwhile, the janitor won't notice that a bucket, gloves, soap, and some towels were missing.

The now silent kitten was not so cooperative when they tried to bathe it. Fortunately, they did not get scratched. Afterward, Suzzie had quickly returned the supplies and brought a packet of milk from the canteen while Amaris dried the Little trouble.

Yeah! Suzzie has named it Little trouble since she made a huge fuzz during the bath.

At the other end of the line, Rudy and Drake were inspecting the kittens and having fun at Kai's expense. Quite a few of the girls had tried to flirt with Kai but one glare from him had them running for hills.
