Chapter 16: Together

  I woke up in an instant.
  "Harry!" I flung myself upon him and he just laughed at my energy this early on a Saturday morning. I just couldn't believe that he was here. I kissed him and he deepened the kiss. He pulled back and we both had a grin on our faces. I heard a yell from upstairs and knew why. Harry and I both got out of bed and ran upstairs. We burst through the door Harry was smiling because he and I knew the reason why while I walked over to the crib to see a sleeping Teddy just starting to stir. I pick him up while I turn around to see Ron and Lavender kiss. Harry walks over to me and puts his arm around my waist.
   "Morning,"Harry says. He looks at me and kisses my temple. Ron and Lavender look at us like we've been there the whole time. Lavender has a nervous look on her face but I give her an eye and she quickly changes her expression. Harry takes Teddy from me and starts to smile. He is going to be such a great father. Ron comes up to me and gives me a hug. Lavender does the same to Harry. So Harry and I went down to our room and to get dressed for breakfast.
   "So what have you gotten ready for the big day?" Harry asked. I just got my clothes out of the drawer when he came up behind me and whispered it in my ear. I looked at him with confusion. "You know our wedding." My eyes widened.
   "Oh, Harry I forgot. I'm so sorry-" His lips found their way to mine.
    "Its fine. We work on it together. Just like we do everything else." I pecked him one last time before I gave him his clothes that I picked out for him and he jumped in the shower. I got dressed in some tan shorts and a red top. I got Teddy ready in a pair of jeans and a stripped blue shirt. I was just putting on my engagement ring when Harry came out with his on. Teddy was on the bed playing with the pillows then he looked up at Harry.
     "Dadda," he said in Harry's direction. Harry looked at me.
    "That is the first time he has said that since the day you left."Harry looked at me and walked over to the bed.
     "That's right Teddy. I am your father," Harry said to Teddy. I walked over to the bed and picked up Teddy. I placed him on Harry's lap and kissed his forehead. Harry looked at me, put Teddy on my lap, and pulled me onto his. With one secure hand around Teddy, I put my other around Harry's neck."Thank you"
    "For what?" I asked.
    "For being there for me through thick and thin. For never losing hope in me. For never giving up on me even if I gave up on myself. You mean so much to me. I just kept putting you in danger and you still stayed."
    "Oh, Harry I will always stay. You are so thick sometimes but I always will break your barriar before I let you do something stupid. And you know why I stay?"
     "Why?"
     "Because when we do things apart we are weaker. But when we do it together it is unbreakable. It is because we do it together. We are better together."
