Chapter 28: Take Her

Harry and I leave St. Mungos with the baby girl and use floo powder to get back to Hogwarts. Once I'm in our tower, I hear Ron and Lavender come down from their room.
"Hermione, you're back! How are you how do you feel.?"Ron asked me as we hugged.
"I'm good. I have some news though. I had a baby," I say to him. He gives me a horrified look and looks from Lavender to Harry to me.
"Harry, it's not mine. I swear it. Lav, I promise you that her baby is not mine," he said with a shaky voice.
"Mate, I know it's not yours. Hermione and I dicussed it and it's not even hers. It's Bellatrix's and Voldemort's. Although I do wonder how that happened," Harry said looking at me.
"Well the nurse told me that how it happened was a spell and a potion. I was actually going to ask professor Slughorn if he knows of any kind of thing or I was going to check the-"
"Library," Harry and Ron said in unison, interupting me. We laughed.
"Well, I'm glad your doing fine. We all went to supper and you didn't show up. Harry was getting worried and Ron kept ignoring us when we asked him if he knew where you were. Then Harry went to look on his map and that's when Ronald took it away from him," Lavender said.
"That was my fault. I told him not to let Harry look at it and instead of going to the Library, I went to the Hospital Wing. And all of last night's events I would not like to recall. Where is Teddy?" I ask realizing my little child wasn't here.
"He is sleeping upstairs. He woke up and couldn't go back to sleep for a while since neither Harry or you were here," Lavender said. I nod and go upstairs to get him.
When I walk in I see him standing on his crib looking at me. I smile and go over to him. I strike my hand over his head and feel his soft curls becoming untangled.
"Mumma," he says with his little baby voice. I pick him up and take him down stairs. That's when I see Harry again with the baby girl. I kiss Teddy's forehead then put him down.
"She is beautiful. I am going to go get Draco, he needs to be here right now. As soon as we can get her to his mother, the better," Ron said as he left. Teddy was standing next to Harry looking at the baby. I walked into my room and say on the bed.
I conjured up my wedding plans and looked at it all over. I still had to think of table arrangements, the invitation list, the bridesmaids dressed, the boquets, the flower girl dress, and most importantly MY dress. I'm looking at various pictures when I hear a soft knock on the open door.
"You work way too hard," Lavender said as she walked in. I smiled a little bit looked back at the stuff. She sat on the bed and looked over some of the items. "It's going to be magnificent. You two are going to be great together."
"So are you and Ronald. Lavender, everything that has happened this year has been for the better. Within a few weeks we will be graduating and you will be walking down the isle looking as lovely as the morning sun on your wedding day. Then you will be a Weasley," I say to her.
"And within a few months you'll be a Potter. The only Mrs. Potter. Hermione, you stopped everything when we needed helpgetting ready for my wedding. I don't know of any other person that would do that for us. You really have grown on me and I'm just thankful that I got oportunity to become friends with you after what happened two years ago."
"I'm glad that we were able to become friends too, Lavender. Not many people can put up with my Know-it-all personality as some people put it. Is everything set for your big day. Is there anything I can do for you?"
"Yes, be there and have a good time. Tomorrow Ron and I will be handing out invitations to the people that go here and sending them to those who aren't. Other than that would be setting up the day of and before."
Then we heard the door to the common room open. Lavender and I walk in and see Ron and Draco walk in. Harry stands sits down and puts the baby in the carrier.
"Hermione, are you sure it's hers. It would be bloody hell impossible," Draco said.
"It's not impossible Draco. We live in a world of magic," I said to him.
"Can I see her?"
"She is in the carrier over there next to Harry."
He walks over to the couch and sits down where Harry was sitting a moment before. He just stared at the child and his eyes started to water. Just then the door opened and Ginny and Dean walked in.
"What if IT is like them? Hermione, I can't take it. HE made me do horrible things. If IT is anything like HIM then history is bound to repeat itself." I could see that this was going down hill very fast.
"Ginny, can you please take Teddy and the baby out of here. I'm sorry you had to walk in on this, but this is a matter in which Harry, Ron, Draco, and I have to dicuss. Lavender and Dean if you could please go also, I feel like it would help," I say looking at everyone.
"Sure, Hermione. Come along Teddy, why don't we play a game. Darling, could you grab the carrier please," Ginny said to Dean.
"I've got it. Let's go. I'll see you later," Lavender said as she left through the doorway.
When the door closed, Ron, Harry and I all looked at Draco.
"I'm not taking IT."
