Izuku's POV
It's been over 10 months since I moved in with Granny and I have been quite busy. I have finished school and have also received My teaching certificate for dance. I honestly couldn't be more ecstatic about that. Not only had I accomplished that but I also had bought a warehouse with my inheritance after a month of moving in. This is where my business was going to be and also my new home. The warehouse was enormous but it was run down when I first looked at it. However, I was okay with that though because that means I could design it however I wanted.
During the months of the warehouse was being fixed and redesigned. I was training and focusing on what I wanted to do besides my business. I still wanted to be a hero and go to UA, The most well known hero school. The problem with that is that I still have people after me and the last thing I wanted to happen is for me to be the cause of an attack on the school. So I started to do research on other ways I can help. I picked up hacking as a way to get information on criminals but I still felt like that wasn't enough. I then came across a website that piqued my interest.
It was about vigilantes. It mostly talked about how they were in a weird grey area of criminal and hero. They would help others but they were doing it illegally since they didn't have a hero license. As I continued to do more research on vigilantes, the more I thought that it was perfect for me. I can work in the shadows and help others while staying out of the limelight. I never was one that wanted the fame that came with the hero industry. This will also be a way to track down the person who wanted to purchase me.
After finally coming to a decision, I had wanted to tell Granny of my plans. Thinking back to when I told her, I chuckled at her reaction.
*Flashback*
We were sitting down at the dining room table having dinner. I was incredibly nervous on what she would think. I wasn't really eating since I was trying to figure out how to start this conversation but it looked like I didn't have to.
"Something important must be on your mind dear. Is there any way I can help?" asked Recovery Girl.
I looked up at her and contemplate on how I should tell her. My mind coming up blank, I simply sighed and decided to be blunt.
"I'm going to be a Vigilante" Ok that was too blunt but I can't backtrack now.
She looks at me with a blank expression but snaps out of it quickly. She grabs her cane and tries to whack me upside my head but thankfully due to years of training I caught it. She then proceeds to rant.
"Are you absolutely bonkers! Of all the things you plan to do, you decide being a vigilante is the best route! Do you know how much shit they receive and how dangerous the work is? Not only that but your only 9 years old! There is no way you are going up against criminals. Now let go of my cane so I can knock some sense into you." She struggled to get her cane out of my firm hold.
After my initial shock due to her cursing which she rarely does, I kept hold of her cane until she started to get tired. "Please listen to what I have to say and after I'm done, you can decide whether or not you still want to whack me with your cane." I stated.
She gives me a glare before she huffs and sits back down. She gesture for me to go ahead with my explanation.
"The reason I want to be a vigilante is because it is the best option for me right now. It will allow me to help others while staying in the shadows. It will also be a way to track down the ones that are after me."
"Your only 9 though. Your too young to be fighting."
"I may be young physically but I've had to grow up rather quickly due to what life has given me."
