~Dabi's POV~

My eyes widen after Izuku says that. After all, Toga, Eri, and myself only have basic knowledge of him. Mainly about him doing vigilant work, and and how he would do anything to keep his family safe. I remember asking about his past before and his only response was 'For your safety, you don't need to know'. I remember being quite irritated by that. Even though I find it comforting for him to want to protect us, though who will protect him. I feel Izuku shift nervously next to me and see him start to fidget with his fingers, something he does when he's stressed. I pull him closer to me to try to comfort while also running my fingers through his soft hair. He tenses at first but soon relaxes.

"Why all of a sudden Izu-Chan?" Toga asked with a look of concern.

"The reason is because I have a feeling that storm is brewing and I want you to be prepared for the worst case scenario in case it happens. You are also people who I deeply care about and I trust you with this information." He states.

"We're all ears Zuku." Shigaraki says with a slight smile to reassure him. Izuku gives a small smile back. He then straightens in his seat while I still have my arms wrapped around him and inhales deeply before starting.

"Well to start with, let me reintroduce myself. My real name is Izuku Yonekawa. My Mother was Inko Yonekawa and my Father was Hisashi Yonekawa." I noticed how his expression turned grim when he said his fathers name.

"Wait. So Midoriya isn't your last name?" Toga says in shock.

"No, that's actually my Mother's maiden name and I would love for you guys to continue using it." He says with a smile. Questions fill my head as I try to process this only for Izuku to continue.

"We were what you would think to be a picture perfect family. However, behind close doors was a different story. You see my father was a perfectionist. If things weren't the way he perceived to be perfect, there would be consequences. An example being no food being as a minor punishment to....... more extreme.  He controlled everything to the way we dressed, the way we eat, even the way we spoke. He made sure that we were perfect in everyway." He says. I tense up  hearing that. 'Please tell me he didn't go though something similar like I did.' I think to myself. He looks over at Shigaraki who has a dumbfounded expression on his face.

"I'm sorry Shiggy but the man you knew and the one I knew were two completely different people." He says to him.

"Why did Auntie Inko and you stay with him if he was so controlling?" Shigaraki asks.

"That ties into to what I'm going to talk about next, which are about our Quirks." He says. I immediately lean forward after he says this. None of us knew about Izuku's Quirk even though we are always together, he always found a way to deflect any and all questions about his Quirk. Toga and I have stayed up late at night theorizing about what it could be but we always end up drawing a blank.

"My mother had a Quirk that allowed her to pull small objects towards her. This ranging from a dinner plate to your skin cells. She found that out by accident when she was trying to get my grandfather to pick her up for a piggyback ride. That was one crazy trip to the ER she hoped to never have again." He says with a slight chuckle.

"My fathers Quirk was a mental one. It allowed him to enter someone's mind and manipulate their emotions. That was why we didn't leave. However, with every Quirk, there is a drawback to it. If exposed to it long enough, his Quirk would no longer have the affect he wanted on the intended target. They would still feel the emotion brought on to them but they would recognize it as not their own and block it from their mind. That target being my mother. You see my mother never loved my father, he had used his quirk on her to get her to marry him. The reason being he thought she was the picture perfect woman to be his wife. Once my mother finally started getting her emotions back, she started forming a plan to get us away from him, while also keeping the act of a perfect wife up. The day we finally got away from him was also the day that we would go to the doctor's to see what Quirk I would get. I was four years old at the time and It was the one day where he wouldn't be with us." He says while looks like he was lost in a memory. I take hold of his hand and give it a light kiss. He gives a shaky sigh but still continues.
