"Change of plans Dear" Grell said with a smile "we aren't going to visit Red"
"Why not?" (Y/n) took their gaze from outside the carriage and let it fall onto Grell.
"Because we are going to visit someone else who misses you a lot" Grell responded with a smile, but her face was covered with a light shadow showing her frustration and hesitance. (Y/n) was confused and spent the rest of the carriage ride wondering who it was.

Meanwhile at the Phantomhive manor, suddenly the atmosphere was full of energy, despite the dull weather. Ever since Ciel informed the staff of the manor that (Y/n) would be returning all the servants have been practically bouncing off the walls in excitement . Finny's eyes were dry, Mey-rin's and Bardroy's attitude and mood had improved , Sebastian's eerie grimace had made a lot more appearances recently. Even Elizabeth was slightly happy that the Neko would be returning, only because she would be treated like the lady she is again. Everyone was still quiet, but the atmosphere felt lighter and unlike before when it felt like the tense air could be cut with a knife.

Red waited in her bedroom humming an old lullaby, listening to the rain pour outside her warm cosy bedroom while she waited for the Demon Butler and his new reaper friends, Claude was currently crouched on the bedrooms balcony studying Madam Red while also waiting for The cherry red reaper and the emotionally shattered neko to arrive unaware of the two very pissed of reapers stood behind him on the balcony banister which was unusual for him as Claude was normally very aware of his surroundings . Madam red slowly turned her head to meet the eyes of a very focused demon butler before gesturing upwards with a slight nod, Everything clicked in Claude's mind. The butler stayed still to plan his attack on the reapers that were extremely silent behind him to him their breathing being masked by the rain, Claude was still planning his attack when-

(Y/n) froze up when they looked out the window to see the Phantomhive manor it looked a lot gloomier with a sky full of grey cloud behind it. The tense neko turned their gaze to Grell who looked guilt ridden as they understood that the nekos last memory of the Earl Phantomhive was when the ex-worker had been given away to the Blonde brat. Grell scratched behind (y/n)'s ear and gave them the best smile she could manage.
"He really misses you, you know?" Grell said without context but (y/n) knew who she was talking about and gave the reaper a slow tired nod and held out their arms.
"Carry me, please?" (Y/n) asked with their ears back and looking up at the reaper with Big (e/c) eyes. A light blush found it's way onto the Grell's face as she tried not to let out a squeal of happiness at the neko's request.
"Of course Dear" Grell smiled and left the carriage with (Y/n) in her arms, the neko purred and rubbed the top of their head against the reaper's chin trying to find warmth.
A loud knock caught the attention of everyone in the Phantomhive Manor, all the staff a part from Sebastian rushed to open the door, finny was the first at the door, he swung the door open with such force the reaper on the other side was afraid it would break off of its hinges.
"(Y/N)!!!!!!" The three idoi- Phantomhive servants screamed as they pulled the neko out of Grell's arms and pulled them into a tight hug that almost suffocated them yet, (y/n) didnt struggle instead they purred and nuzzled their face against the chest of bard who they were currently facing, soaking all three servants around them but they didnt seem to care.
"I've missed you so much" (y/n) stated "I thought about you every day" The neko confessed, Grell looked on in jealously, still standing in the rain.
"really!?" Finny asked with a look of hope. (y/n) hummed and nodded their head causing the Gardner to grip tighter. Grell scoffed while walking in and closing the door behind her, urging (y/n) to lift their head and smile at Grell's jealousy, "I thought about you too Grell", the reaper's face once again matched her red hair as the nekos words re-played in her head.
"(y/n)" A very recognisable voice could be heard from the top of the staircase, The voice made (y/n)'s stomach churn and heart race, (y/n) wanted to throw up just by the sound of their name being said by that voice. that damm voice. They wanted to run away but also run into his arms, crying about how much they missed him. The neko slowly turned around to see. Ciel Phantomhive looking down at (y/n) with a stern yet soft look. Ciel also felt his stomach do flips when he looked down at the scared and confused neko who looked up at him with tearful eyes.
"Earl Phantomhive i-its a Pleasure to see you again" (y/n) forced a smile, a lopsided , painful smile. Ciel was surprised, (y/n) had never called him by his title it was either "master" or "young master " however it did make sense as now (y/n) belonged to Grell, yet his heart still felt like the neko had struck a sharp sword through it.
"you three get back to work, now" Ciel commanded causing finny, Mey-rin and bard to walk away glaring at the young earl, the glare had become a common site for Ciel ever since the neko had been traded for false information about who killed the Ciel's parents. Grell attempted to straighten out (y/n)'s dress but due to the water it stuck to their body it also didnt quite cover the bruises on their legs, arms and neck, Ciel could tell that the dress hid more wounds. Just the thought of there being more wounds made guilt run down the Earls back.
"can I see you in my office please (y/n)?" Ciel asked, the neko paused before nodding and walking towards him, still shoeless at this point they didnt flinch when something sharp or cold hit the bottom of their feet as they had already grown use to the feeling during the short stay at the Manor. Which threw the neko into a train of thought although the people around them other than Alois swore they wouldn't be treated like a "pet" of a "slave" (y/n) had been passed around like they were one, from place to place each one different from the other. First they were tossed into a small cage at the age of 5, then they were dragged out of that cage and woke up in a coffin before being soothed to sleep by a demon and waking up in a carriage and then carried into the Phantomhive manor only to fall asleep again to wake up in a blood coloured bedroom and then sold off to a brat and sold off again to a pretty reaper, and now they are here. The thought of being treated like a pet made (y/n)'s fur stand up on end and tail swat behind them angrily as they climbed the stairs to meet the Earl who is already in his office. The neko suddenly remembered their exhaustion when the steps became harder and harder to climb, they looked back to get assistance of Grell, but she was nowhere to be seen.
(Y/n) sighed and stood at the office doors reminiscing on all the times they would walk in without knocking and when they did knock it was the same sound every time.
4 knocks. those 4 knocks made Ciel smile, he missed those knocks so much.
