(TW: There will be talks of physical abuse as well as sex in this chapter)

"Alright slut. I'm going on a trip. You better behave yourself while I'm gone. I'll be back in a week. And I better not find out you were with that Spencer guy or I will kill you." He spit, grabbing his bags and leaving.

You collapsed to the floor sobbing. You didn't know why you stayed with him. Out of fear mainly, there was no love there anymore. He was jealous of Spencer who was your new coworker. You had just started at the BAU and Spencer was very quick to introduce himself and help you out which you thought was nice. John, your boyfriend, did not think that it was nice. He was pissed.

"Oh shit," you grumbled seeing the time. If you wanted to get to work on time you wouldn't be able to go in the bathroom and fix your makeup. Once you made it to work you would just use their bathroom before you had to see anyone.

Upon arriving and running in, you headed straight to the bathroom, keeping your eyes on the ground. Before you could get to the bathroom you ran directly into Spencer.

"Woah Y/N what are you doing?' he joked. Once he looked closer at you the tone in his voice changed. "Hey what's wrong?" he asked cupping your chin and making you look at him. Butterflies erupted in your stomach but quickly subsided once you remembered the previous events that occurred.

"Nothing Spencer." you lied sniffling. You could tell that he wasn't buying it.

"Seriously what's wrong?"

"Just John. Nothing serious." you said, John's name making you want to cry. You wished you weren't so afraid of the guy.

"He doesn't treat you good. I know that you're in love with him but you deserve so much better." Spencer said, taking your hand and rubbing the back of it to calm you down.

"Spencer, there isn't any love. I'm afraid of him." you whispered. You really didn't want to tell Spencer this but you needed to talk to someone. You were hoping that maybe Spencer wouldn't hear you since you were so quiet. That was not the case.

"Why are you afraid of him? Is he hitting you or something?" Spencer said, rage building in his voice. You shook your head no.

"He's not physically abusive. He always tells me he wont ever hit me because he doesn't want me to have any proof." You said, tears threatening to spill again.

"So he verbally abuses you? Which isn't any better by the way." Spencer said, wiping away the tears that were sliding down your cheeks.

You couldn't bring yourself to do anything but nod in response. Spencer was staring at you and you could see the pity in his face.

"Come to dinner with me after work. I'll pay, just a nice treat for you." Spencer suggested. You took a deep breath.

"I-I can't. I'm sorry." You said, trying to push past Spencer and into the bathroom. Spencer grabbed your hand, his fingers lacing with yours causing you to blush.

"Why not?" he pushed.

"Spencer, it's not that I don't want to. Because I would love to but I just can't. I don't want to explain any further than that really." You said, biting the skin off of your lip.

"It's John. I can tell. What did he say to you? Did he threaten you?" Spencer questioned, the tears welling up in your eyes once again.

"Yes Spencer. Jesus. It's John. The last thing he said to me was that if he found out that I was with you he would kill me. Are we done here?" You grumbled, annoyance building up.

You pushed past Spencer and into the bathroom. You weren't annoyed with him. You were annoyed that you so desperately wanted to go to dinner with him but couldn't because you were afraid. Once you cleaned your face up, you went to your desk to fill out paperwork.
