You groaned in frustration. You had a huge test for college in a few days and you couldn't remember anything that you were studying. You had asked some friends if they wanted to help you study but they all turned you down, saying they had other plans.
You set your pen down, putting your head in your book. You heard your roommate Spencer walk past your room. You then heard a soft knock on your door. You raised your head and saw him.
"Hey." You said softly.
"What's wrong?"
"I can't remember anything and I have a test on all of this in 2 days." You groaned.
"Can I come in? Maybe I can help." He suggested. You smiled and nodded.
Spencer had been a close family friend for years and he was a total sweetheart. He was smart, handsome, and one of your absolute best friends. You and Spencer were attached at the hip from the day you were born. You did everything together. Once he found out that you were going to college but had nowhere to stay he immediately took you in and let you stay with him rent-free. Spencer was your dream guy but you didn't dare ruin your friendship for something like that.
"Okay, what's the problem pretty girl?" Spencer asked, flopping next to me on the bed. The nickname Spencer had chosen for you always gave you butterflies when he used it. You didn't mind though, the idea of you and Spencer ever being more than best friends was all that you had ever wanted but you were sure that it would never happen. Spencer was 5 years older than you and you didn't have a chance with someone like him.
"This calculus test. I've studied over and over and I can't retain any of the information that I go over. I'm about to drop out of this class." You groaned, giving Spencer your book and notebook.
Spencer looked over the material, his tongue swiping across his bottom lip as he read the pages. That was one of Spencer's sexiest habits. Whenever he did that you immediatly wanted to jump on him.
"Okay, I see where this would get tricky but come here, I'll explain it to you." Spencer said, patting his lap. You got up and went over, sitting on Spencer's lap as he explained what you were supposed to be doing. You noticed Spencer shift a few times like he was uncomfortable.
"Spence are you okay? I can get up." You inquired.
"No you're fine. It's the chair." He laughed nervously. You decided to ignore it and continue studying for the test.
It took about 20 minutes for you to fully understand what was going on. After that you flew through the practice problems.
"Pretty girl, you should take a break from this. You've been in here studying for 6 hours now. You need to eat or do anything else. Plus I took tomorrow off to spend with you." Spencer pouted. You smiled, closing your books and gently setting them at your desk.
"Alright Spence, what would you like to do?" You asked. You glanced at the clock, seeing it was about 1 in the morning.
'Holy shit I did study for 6 hours.' You thought to yourself.
"Well, you need to eat." Spencer demanded.
"Everything's closed." You pouted.
"Not everything. The diner is still open. They're open 24/7." Spencer said.
"FRENCH TOAST!! How could I forget?!" You shouted and Spencer laughed.
Spencer and you used to go to the diner once a week. Without fail you both always got French toast. The diner was a special place for you and Spencer. You and Spencer went there when he got his heartbroken. You guys went there when you got your heartbroken. You were there when you found out you got accepted into your dream school. You were there when you found out Spencer landed a job at the FBI. The diner was you and Spencer's place.
