Long Time No See

I was getting ready for my first day at my new job. I got hired to assist the technical analyst at the FBI BAU. It was getting ready to put me into my dream work environment. I wanted to be a profiler but I would take what I could get. Getting into the BAU alone was a HUGE step for me. 

I took another look in the mirror, flattening out my button up shirt and pushing a few stray hairs back into place. I smiled at myself.

'You got this. Go in there and show them what you got.' I reassured myself, exiting my bedroom and grabbing my car keys and my purse. I knew that their tech analyst was a girl and that they told me she was super sweet. I also knew that there were 6 other agents so 8 of us in total. I stopped by a coffee shop, grabbing 8 black coffees and just taking a bunch of creams and sugars. I also grabbed a dozen donuts, then finally made my way to the BAU. 

Upon arriving I felt myself become intimidated. The building was huge and I mean who wouldn't feel at least slightly scared being in front of a FBI building? I took a deep breath, grabbing the coffee trays as well as the donuts and heading inside. I had the receptionist page my boss Aaron Hotchner to the front so he knew that I was there. A few minutes after she paged, I saw him approaching me.

"Ah Y/N right on time. What's this" He said, eyeing the coffee and donuts.

"Just a little thank you treat from me. And me trying to make friends." I said and he laughed.

"Trust me they're already going to love you just for this. Follow me." He said, leading me into a huge office area of the building. He led me up a flight of stairs and to the conference room where 6 other people were seated and appeared to be waiting for us. I walked in, setting down the coffees and donuts.

"Oh man she brought all of this already and it's only her first day?" A handsome dark man said and I smiled. I could feel my nerves slowly melting away. Everyone took a coffee and made it how they wanted as well as taking a donut to eat. 

"Oh my goshh. She's here. My new partner is here and I already love her!" I heard a woman say. I turned my head seeing a beautiful blonde girl with bright pink hoop earrings and really cool shoes. All I could do was smile at her.

"Don't be shy. We won't bite." An older man said and I smiled again.

"Everyone this is Y/N. Y/N this is Penelope Garcia, your trainer. Then there's Agent Derek Morgan, Agent David Rossi, Agent Jennifer Jareau, JJ for short, Agent Emily Prentiss,  and Doctor Spencer Reid. We mainly go by last names around here." Hotch said. I looked up upon hearing the last person's name. Then I saw him.

"Spence?" I said, my jaw dropping slightly.

"Oh my god Y/N? Long time no see huh?" He said, smiling. He stood up and held his arms out for a hug. I walked over, embracing him. 

"How do you two know each other?" I heard Derek ask.

"Y/N and I used to be best friends in college. She was a few years behind me and we lost contact after I graduated. We did everything together and I was devastated when we stopped talking. I could have had Garcia hunt you down but I didn't think you would want to talk to me at all." Spencer said and I gave him a dirty look.

"Yeah okay. I would have been over the moon to have you back in my life you goof. I'm not so sure I would have made it through my first year of college without you." I laughed. 

"For the record I could have found you in 3 seconds flat. And I'll be showing you how to find other people in that amount of time. Anyone you could imagine, just like that." Penelope said and snapped her fingers. I couldn't help but laugh.
